He just has to block one and then do chain projectile at the same time that you go to shoot the next one, and he takes no damage and you do. Im saying it works, but you can’t just pin him down with it.
the problem with ghost rider isnt just his projectile, his chain normals dont count as projectiles so they go right through mighty sparks, so a good GR player can just slowly dash in and if you use mighty spark L they’ll either stuff it with his st.H or just jump and use j.S (i think they can also duck it and use cr.H), if you do an air mighty spark he still has long range AA specials. So i dont think zoning GR is possible (assuming they know what they’re doing).
^ mm I think zoning Ghost rider is actually very easy. Advancing guard + mighty spark L + some projectile assist + tridash keepaway is all Thor needs. He just have to stay at full screen distance avoiding risks, the chain projectile and the chain normals can’t touch Thor at that distance. The GR player wont be crouching / ducking all the fight, so thinking that Mighty spark L is useless is not accurate, the Rider will be trying to get close to Thor, spamming j.S from time to time and wavedashing, and he should be punished for it.
The best assists for Ghost Rider are the Drones and Strider Vajra, and they are not a threat at all for Thor, Mighty spark L can beat Vajra and the drones fades off if the spark touch Sentinel. The only real danger for Thor when facing a Ghost Rider is the chain normal that hits low.
If the Rider try to approach by the way of superjumps, Thor can always superjump and try to perform j.M, j.S, Mighty Strike L, j.L, Mighty spark L, Mighty Tornado for a +600k combo.
i havent had that much experience fighting GR yet but i still dont think its possible to outzone GR. Yes you’re out of his range at full screen but its not even possible to keep ppl at full screen distance without being able to move while you’re zoning (like deadpool), its even worse in thor’s case because spark can be ducked AND jumped over. This usually isnt that big of a deal against other characters but GR only needs to close a very small distance before being able to hit you and he has normals that he can use to hit thor WHILE dodging mighty spark. Not saying that you wont catch him with a few mighty sparks but sooner or later you’re going to get tagged, mighty spark L has 46 frames in total (including 12 frames on recovery) so its definitely not safe against GR if it misses. And the few sparks that you do manage to land wont be worth it because GR has 1mil health and unlike thor he can actually combo off his hits.
A good projectile assist will definitely help (especially something fast like disruptor) but that goes for both sides not just thor.
Dont overlook the fact that GR is slow in walk speed and wavedash, he is also very floaty. His mobility options are bad. As i said, the Tridash keepaway will keep Thor safe. However, i usually play Thor backed up by Bolts of Balthackk and Cold Star so maybe i’m a little biased on his zoning options.
Hadn’t been to the Break in some time. Reminded me how much I miss goin

Very nice. Killer mix ups. I like it a lot. I’mma watch the whole Break soon, but you gotta tell me. How far did you get?
I went 2-2. I lost to MarlinPie and Wetbucket. I beat DM Brandon in losers. Marlin’s Doom got me and in the fight with Wetbucket, I was too set in building meter for Strider. Live and learn I guess
New vid is up, this one is short though:

Its all pretty old other than the mixup, dont think ppl are aware of that one yet.
KOCast is back up which means I have some more thor videos yay!
We ran it tournament style again and I won using Thor. The majority of my matches were against zoning characters and there aren’t too many vids of thor vs hawkeye here.
http://www.twitch.tv/kocast/b/305142742 <— The part of winners finals where I use thor, and I use him every game in grand finals.
And there are two other matches here http://www.twitch.tv/kocast/b/305138203 Times: 20:52 & 1:16:55
I get a nice grab at 26:24 and a cross up on in incoming character in the corner right after the kill. Also, doing the thornado fall on frank is hard as he has an awkward hitbox.
why all the random mighty tornadoes in the winners finals?
im pretty sure he was trying to box dash, it happens a lot if you try to SJ forward and then dash immediately, which is why i always do a neutral SJ when i box dash.
That makes sense, thanks.
That whiffed Maximum Wesker into Mighty Punish was pretty sweet.
I went to a tourney up in San louis Obisbo last weekend. I got 2nd and lost to my friend (who I beat all the time normally ).
Supernovajm was there also playing Thor. I mess up some inputs a lot but I still did ok.

@49:00 we get some awesome thor mirrors.
those were some good matches foo. I’m gonna get that W back though
Dat wus so hype.
GGs Foo, i also play a Thor / Strange team. They have some amazing synergy.
I have a new match the was on hazmats stream yesterday http://www.twitch.tv/teamhazmat/b/306204386
Its me (Thor/Iron man/super skrull) vs Forward (Strider/Ryu/Phoenix) I do my best and I gave a run for his money but in the last match I dropped the ball hard and lost, but still I gave it my best shot
@Foo, supernovajm, and Pop Ghostly: Great matches guys. Congrats on getting 2nd Foo and supernova, very impressive stuff playing on a Hit Box.
