That was awesome! Fuudo able to EX SRK -> fadc -> ultra right after Daigo unleashed a solar plexus strike and went for MP or HP was out of this world. And then in the last one, Daigo’s SRK -> fadc when Fuudo did an overhead tatsu in the corner was great as well. Too bad Daigo released the ultra soon.

I find myself adopting a number of his habits, for better or worse. Like the joystick hold and early joystick motion into double-tap punch for fireball barrage. And this video had a few nice things that weren’t totally clear in other vids… Essentially a much better look at how he taps out rapid jabs, tech falls, and 2 button grabs and focus…
Nothing really special or complicated. But it’s nice to see.
There’s also this funny moment where sagat backdashes through a fireball. Daigo was actually a little surprised at that. I’ve seen something like that happen before… This one time Rufus backdashed when I let off a super, and he only got hit once by it at the end of the backdash. Funny shit.
Haven’t posted anything of myself in months. It’s me vs. P4P, a local player, online. They were some good matches. Any criticism appreciated.

I give you my critic of your match what I tought were your strengh and what I think should be inproved upon. Take this with a grain of salt
I am no expert Ryu and I am the first one to admit Ive got ton of leak in my own game.
**Strenght: **
-You get your combo c.lk, c.lp, c.hp xx Tatsu pretty well and you deliver it couple of times during those matchs. Its not an easy combo to deliver in a mirror match because of the short range.
-Youre block string seem pretty solid overall mixing a lot of c.lp, c.lk and some c.mp.
-You have good throw mix up in your block string.
-Good habit of doing safe jump from your foward throw.
-Youre unpredictable and play a fast pace action game
-You can FADC to Ultra
To work on
-Youre anti air need some polishing, you did Srk obvious jump in, but get jump on way to much.
-I think you should manage your Ex meter better, got too deliver that Super
-I see to many Srk to my liking that arent safe. You should anticipate less and react more to what opponent is doing.
-You miss your Chp xx Srk punish lot of time, something to work on, also punishing every lp srk with cmk xx Tatsu would be useful.
-Youre defense should be more hermetic, you got deliver a lot of damage when throwing moves with frames disadvantages.
I am the complete opposite of your Ryu, I play a methodical Zoning game that rely on spacing and good AA. Youre more the style ‘get in there’

Lol took me a couple of seconds to work out who you were, didn’t notice the PSN on the left.
Your execution looks cleanish for your level. You don’t use any combos as ryu though, else than that one F.HP into Ex DP, was that suppose to be HP DP, it should’ve been. Weird watching your other video you did some combos and you seemed more confident there. Watching you play it feels as though you have no real gameplan, Ryu is lucky that his defense gives him ultra opportunities.Looking at one punish, i don’t think i’ve ever seen that type of punish before, the guy does a HP.DP whiff and you Jump U/F MP into ultra, ultra by itself would’ve been easier to do than that combo.
You jumped alot of times and tried to kick into the air was there a reason to this, or just misjudged your jump-in range? Use HK rather than MK at the longer ranges, MK has less pushback for blockstrings, but such a short range compared to HK. Also with your blockstrings, you can do 3 lots of chained LP, it gives you more pushback, making it safer for you to do something else after like C.MK xx Hado, sweep, FA or jump-in again, stopping at 2 is only good for a throw, otherwise you’re losing 1 extra punch in your blockstring. Also doing C.LK, then C.LP, C.LP is good incase they’re not blocking low fast enough, you just never know. On that note, you don’t C.MK xx Hado much, there were many opportunities for that easy combo.
Depending on what controller you play on i suggest using easy punish combos like C.MK xx Tatsu, C.HP xx H.DP(With a stick it’s simply C.HP, 323,HP with the shortcut, the numbers are shorthand for numpad directions. EVEN C.HP xx Tatsu like you used before. Note that C.HP makes a crouching person stand, as tatsu only hits standing players.

i been using ryu for a while now but i cant work out if my zoning’s off because i find myself playing aggressive and using his gdlk CR strong to anti air rather than dp, let me know how u think im getting on hope i didint post too much vids
