i believe daigo is always sponsored since beginnning or at least after he won that darkstalker game. he is also was invited into tv shows and others in japan so i’m sure he is getting paid.
and he may not need to spend money on the game, cause i know if you are good at certain games and you are a regular at certain arcade sometimes the owner / staffs will give you free games besides if you own an arcade place and one of the best player in the country plays regularly there, you might wanna give him/her some freebies as this will keep him happy and having him/her there will promote your place and will attract others to come to your place
no, he really does spend a lot of money on the game man. Just another player in japan.
He’s always played Ryu. It’s just in tournaments he almost always uses Gouki and the only vids that are posted up are usually tournament vids so that’s all you ever see of Momochi, but he’s played both Ryu and Gouki for a long time, and has been the second highest rated Ryu for as long as I can remember, probably all the way back to when the arcades first got the game. Those matches with Daigo were casuals so he used Ryu. If it was a tourney he would have probably used Gouki as usual. Hopefully I’m wrong though and he will start using Ryu more in tournaments.

It’s a dollar, but think about how much Daigo wins. You only have to pay if you lose.
I’ve never seen that mise person, but I think it’s generally accepted that Momochi is the best Akuma, and he definitely has the highest BP of any Akuma.
