Oh right.
But coming from Kaneda would sound a bit creepy. You’d have a guy with a tentacle arm stalking you and wanting to kill/rape you in any moment.

This is a bit old, but I came across a awesome
Made me lol
holy shit that was done really really well
Holy shit you in Edmonton, Alberta as well?! Agreed that there is nothing to do here and WEM is highly overrated. The stores in WEM are nothing you can’t find in any other mall and the selection is pretty slim. I found myself enjoying the malls in BC a lot better. Basically, WEM has the water park and Galaxy land.
Our arcade scene is a POS and finding competition is very slim and probably nowhere near the level of the US.
Just FYI, they’re thinpacks with slip cover. I saw them at FYE over the weekend.
Also, I used to kind of brag about buying a lot DVD’s and stuff, but I’m pretty much done; at least in terms of U.S. releases. American distributors are so desperate now to the point where they have cut the quality threshold so low to offset dustbin pricing. I really can’t stand them anymore. Packaging is crap… video encoding is crap… and audio is crap.
On top of that, I really don’t want to buy anime anymore unless they’re Blu-ray (with exception of there being no BD like Kara no Kyoukai). So that pretty much leaves me at almost exclusively buying Japanese BD releases - which I have been happy so far.
Excuse the rather redundant question - but which series is this from?
But yeah that was pretty good (and hilarious, what is with that white haired guy/girl/whatever that was )
A good anime?
But then you’re going to miss something actually happening. :wonder:
To Aru Majutsu no Index
Just FYI - the character portraits are randomly shopped/redone for whatever reason with the exception of Mikoto. So they’re funnier if you’re familiar with the series.
I didn’t really like Index that much, but I am looking forward to the Railgun anime.
Wait, so Samurai Champloo isn’t regarded as good? :amazed:
Ah, thanks. I knew that nun garb looked a bit familiar.
I’ve been on the fence picking up that show since reactions seem rather mixed for it.
On the topic of Kara no Kyoukai, movie #6 is coming out this month
I’m surprised there aren’t any blu-ray releases for KnK. Maybe they’ll release them later? Heck, I still don’t get why it hasn’t been licensed.
I wasn’t a fan.
Maybe in another year or two. The thing is, BD wasn’t prevalent in anime when Kara no Kyoukai DVD’s started getting released in May 2008. Back then, Bandai Visual was the only one that was pumping out BD anime for series and movies at fair frequency. Most other BD releases then were upconverted movies and series boxsets.
Now, almost all anime get BD treatment, but there are still some that don’t for whatever reason. Saki is not, which is disappointing, since I really like that series. And Gurren Lagann movie didn’t get it either despite being a major release.
Right now, I’m collecting Sora Kake and Queen’s Blade (yes you can laugh) and will be starting with K-On! later this month for BD.
I’m psyched as hell for it, yeah. Even though it doesn’t look as action intensive as 5, but hell, it’s still KnK.
Wasn’t there news of it being licensed though? Or at least it was going to be shown in theaters in the States somewhere.
Ah, I see.
I have mixed reactions about Champloo. I thought the main story episodes were great, but the non-story ones were hit or miss. Mostly miss.
Really? Queen’s Blade? You’re spending money on it
I haven’t heard about it being licensed, though the 5th film was shown at Anime Boston.
Main story eps for Champloo were good, yes. But you gotta admit the standalone baseball ep was awesome.
Hmm, musta misread it then.
What is a MAD?
EDIT: In before “miserable pile of secrets”.
A MAD is just a name given to edited or altered anime videos for comedy purposes. Not an abbreviation or an acronym and is usually set to music.
The edited vid may also be non-anime at times, as well. Such as this one:

woot woot!!
i think im gonna like Umineko No Naku Koro Ni
and damnit watching Saki is getting depressing, i really just wanna see her rape everybody lol.
Damn, you weren’t kidding.
I’m about to start Ep.4 and I haven’t heard an actual song since the Ep1, and it was only an instrumental. At least it sounded better than every song in BECK.
That’s the first time I’ve seen a non-anime MAD video.
It’s just oh so strange considering that it’s real life.
So true.
