Thanks, I did just that.
Man those two episodes were some beautiful stuff.

Man those two episodes were some beautiful stuff.
That would’ve been great if it wasn’t only viewed by certain regions. =/
I guess the wait continues for now. Thanks for the heads up, though.
Urgh yeah, that’s the main reason why I stopped bothering with CR, Shinji trying to say he gives a damn about regions other then america but at the ends of the day a lot of stuff is region locked to there and I never once saw one that was only available outside of there.
just seen the k-on special, it was nice:bgrin:
i’ll watch valkyria 12 later on today
Finally watched Cross Game 12 and the final ep of K-ON! Omoshirokatta.
ZOMGAnime now has subbed episode 11 of Natsu no Arashi up. Dunno if that’ll help.
Ah, thanks for that (again) - but surprisingly, some group called CommieSubs just released it’s sub for 11 today and been d/ling it from earlier.
So I caught up to episode 12 of Basquash earlier
Random thoughts/speculation
As for other series I managed to watch today:
K-ON 13
A rather nice episode about the happenings of the girls when they are separate from each other. Interesting how Mugi was working in a fast food joint as good practice for her, considering how she’s a rich girl and all. Ritsu getting embarrassed reading the lyrics Mio sent her and finding out was pretty funny. As for Yui’s hotpot ideas…what the hell is she thinkin’?
Oh wait, she doesn’t think. Nevermind.
Valkyria Chronicles 12
We get to see Welkin and Jaeger work out a temporary alliance to save Cordelia and Alicia, but we hardly get to see the latter do much, despite the help. As usual, Alicia manages to snap some sense into someone; this time Cordelia for not letting herself get captured. Shame that the old dude who was the main conspirator in the capture of Cordelia didn’t get what he deserved, though.
So any new summer shows that are worth picking up?
I’m enjoying Negima way more than I thought I would. Cutting into my Tsubasa Chronicles time.
Watched Haruhi S2 ep 3 earlier today, before I went on a 7.5 hour ride.
Haruhi S2 ep 3
KYOANI, YOU MADE ENDLESS EIGHT PART 3 INEVITABLE. At this rate, this is going to take longer than Endless Eight itself. They could have just aired 1 episode for everything, but this week’s episode was recycled, with new audio and staying closer to novel Endless Eight. Another waste of budget.
anime is like that
… sadly
I really hope that after Medaka gets cancelled, that guy finds a good writer to team up with. His art is great.
God, I took a two week vacation to Philadelphia with no internet and I feel like I’m lighyears behind on everything. Catching up with this thread is a lost cause, and catching up on the episodes I missed is going to be a chore. Blah.
Anyways, Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance hits Japanese theaters today. Movie’s got me hyped as I’m curious to see how it manages to condense such a large range of episodes into one 108 minute film while introducing a new pilot and supposedly two new angels.
Another point of interest is the fact that apparently Asuka’s surname is no longer Sohryu, but now Shikinami in this film.
Anyways, can’t wait for it to become available. Best believe I’ll snatch this ASAP.
asura cryin is getting a second season
not sure anyone is really watching season 1
Higurashi Rei 4
So, Rika finally faces her doubts and decides to go back to her own world. Turns out that the no-bad end world was all a dream (or is it?) set up by Hanyuu to teach her the responsibilities of fate and how she should face whatever happens to her in life instead of going off to reset everything whenever it doesn’t go her way. Interestingly enough, we get to understand how deep the connection really is between Hanyuu and Rika and how Hanyuu became what she is now.
Regardless, one could easily call this the true end of the series in it’s entirety. Though we have an extra episode remaining; and it’s the Higurashi Daybreak scenario! Looks like it’ll be almost as fun as the 1st OVA.
But yeah, that was pretty good in general. They seemed to have timed it properly so that the Umineko TV series would follow it.
Haruhi S2 3
It’s groundhog…summer?
Seems like Haruhi is at it again; this time inadvertently looping the same summer vacation she and the rest of the SOS Dan have been going through. Took long enough for Kyon and the rest to notice the deja vu, though it looks like Kyon was a tad too late in stopping Haruhi from concluding their session of activities and trying to suggest something else. I suppose we’ll be seeing a few repeat scenes the next ep as well, maybe even a conclusion?
Also got to (finally) finish up the last two episodes of Natsu no Arashi.
NnA 11 and 12
Well, it’s good to see how both Kanako and Yayoi cemented their relationship with each other; and how Yayoi was able to walk again. That insert song with Kaya and Arashi was pretty lovely, too. The bit with Jun and Youko in episode 12 was pretty funny, alongside Kanako’s reaction wearing that maid dress.
All in all, a satisfying conclusion for one of my favorites of this past spring season. Crossing fingers for this getting a 2nd season; plus more Arashi can never be a bad thing.
i was (or should i say i am), wish i didn’t.
Finished the first season of Minami-ke. Enjoyed it very much.
Currently on Season 2 - Okawari / Ep2.
The intro feels really out of place. Dance music does not go well with the comedic theme of the show.
[] The animation was better in S1.
[] I’m glad they kept the music from S1.
Oh and for anyone who wants it, I found the OST for Minami-ke:

My favourite track would have to be Okashiiyo!.
Utawarerumono OVA 1
More or less a one shot episode focusing on Urotori (and her want to be a mother which reaches to serious proportions) and Karura. Some funny moments here or there, including nearly 5 minutes of air time with the girls in a hotspring (full nudity and all) which later shifted into serious business later on in the end of the episode and a rekindled friendship.
Nothing too special, but it was great seeing the cast again. Think there might be another one as well.
As for this week’s episode of Hayate:
Hinagiku the Combat Student Council President 13
Hina has a sad past too. Suffering the same fate Hayate had by being abandoned by his parents, but instead she was fostered by the Katsura family. We also get to see her lose her emotions a bit thanks to the wooden sword Isumi gave her earlier and how she finally admits that she’s in love with our heroic butler.
Oh, that bit with the jedi master squirrel was pretty funny.
Next week it’s back to Isumi again. Seems like we’re getting a pattern of Hinagiku/Ayumu/Maria -> Isumi -> Nagi when it comes to Hayate’s harem.
We’re a little less than a week away from Canaan
Gez, I have not been watching much anime since I got into Persona 3 FES. I should finish K-On soon.
Yay, Adachi’s break is almost over! Can’t wait for new Cross Game.
