There are only 3 characters in Anime
Haruhi
Belldandy
Kenshiro

everybody else is just a deviation, combination or lesser form of these people.
For example, Mikuru is a lesser belldandy, Nagato is belldandy/lesser kenshiro, Itsuki is a lesser kenshiro, kon is an even lower/deviant kenshiro.
Its the holy trinity of Spunk, mild and powerful.
Hayate is belldandy kenshiro, Nagi is a belldandy haruhi. Hinagiku is a belldandy/kenshiro/lesser haruhi
Mio is an ultra 'dandy, Ritsu a lesser haruhi kenshiro, Yui a deviant haruhi, Mugi a deviant Belldandy, Azusa a deviant kenshiro (she’s good at guitar=power, but emo) Sawa a haruhi kenshiro.
Layfon lesser ken, felli is a belldandy/haruhi/ken (mild mannered, but actually spunky on the inside and capable of powerful psychic stuff), whats her face is a ken, Fonfons childhood friend is a lesser haruhi etc etc.

I could go on but what little self respect I have is already in shambles
