I don’t even like Claymore and I can tell you the anime blows compared to the manga.
I’m sorry, but you’ll thank me for this if you keep watching Claymore in anime form…it SUCKS at the end. BADLY.
Desperately attempts to wrap up a story that was nowhere near fleshed out enough for it, and gives people Bleach-style magical unexplained powerups, aka Deus ex Machina to further the tragically ruined storyline.
Do not watch it. Read the manga. This is my only warning to you, as you’re certainly capable of making that choice on your own. But if you don’t want parts of that series ruined for you in grand fashion…heed those words in bold.
That’s a little extreme. I’d say stop right before the last 3 episodes and you should still be good to continue with the manga. They do a good job of delivering half of the story and one of my favorite parts was the background of how she got her powers, but the ending was rushed.
ok srk, I need some help. Today by sheer luck I found a used copy of the Legend of Zelda manga by Shotaro Ishinomori. You know, the one that was published in Nintendo Power. Well this is the collected edition, any idea what the value of this is? I can’t find anything on it really.

Well I guess it’s a good thing I’ve only bought the first volume. I’ll probably heed the advice and start reading the manga instead. I was really getting into it because certain things remind me of Berserk, and I love Berserk to no end.

Well to be fair, I did mean don’t watch the ending. But yeah, it will ruin Claymore for most people who see it.
Do what mcginnis just said, stop about 3-4 eps before and pick up the manga. As the anime until this point is a flawless retelling, you won’t be lost at all.
As for the anime ending…read what Alpha said above me. It covers it pretty well. 
yeah…pretty much, umma go watch the OP to both those now, just the US tv version.
I think I’ll just hold off on the anime until I finish the manga. Then if I like it as much as I think I will, I’ll go back and watch the anime. Knowing they ruin it now, though, I don’t think I want to own it.
Voting for Bakemono/CANAAN for hour 1. We need to have a backup series if the subs aren’t out in time, so Spice and Wolf II and Tokyo Magnitude would be the replacements. The rest, you can go for whatever you guys want.

I’m going to TRY and make a blog post on it on Wednesday but I leave to Vegas for Evo that day so it might wait a week.
Suffice to say I really fell in love with the show and all the characters. It deserves a second and third and fourth season, I don’t understand how absolutely commercial shit like K-On gets popular and this doesn’t. Bah.

Yeah… a little too fast paced. I found the paint to pudding and the CMYK rangers parts hilarious though.
Araragi’s sisters make Bakemonogatari so much better… enough to ditch Sad Kyou for them.

Well it certainly isn’t as crazy as Pani Poni. :looney: I think you should give it another ep or two to decide; but I can see why you could drop the series.
