I totally forgot about that. The program only seems to work on older phones, from what I can tell. That may be an exploit SWBeta can explore…

Does ADW Launcher(or anything that let’s you use folders on the home screen) cause your phone to load the home screen slower when using many folders after exiting apps and what not? Seems to be happening to me, just want to know if it’s that, my phone, or perhaps my theme?

Doesn’t always happen, many times all the icons will loadup instantly, other times my screen is empty for a few seconds.

Has anybody tried those apps that let you use a PS3 ‘DualShock 3’ or a Nintendo ‘Wii Remote’ on an Android-based phone? Any suggestions?

I use Sixaxis Controller. Works just fine. Download Sixaxis Compatibility Checker from the market first to see if it works with your phone.

Sixaxis works fine on my SGS2. I love the fact that you can assign controls to touch screen games. So, emulators that don’t support hardware/BT input yet, like NeoDroid, you can still use the controller and it’ll work perfectly fine.

I don’t have money to burn on something like this, but if anyone is looking to pick up a tablet that’s relatively well-powered and good enough to run ICS (dual core!), this might be a good one to check out.

I can’t get the sixaxis to work. There is a step that requires the PC that i can’t get to work.

It’s that program giving you problems?

Finally rooted and flashed some stuff on my SGS4G. Works like a dream now. Thanks to everyone that helped me out

You’re welcome. I assume you flashed an ICS rom?

ics rom isn’t available for SGS4G. At least not in the US, yet.

I’ve been trying to root my Thrive for days but the damn process requires a GPS lock which seems impossible to get.

A GPS lock in order to root? A root exploit becomes available once a GPS lock is received? I’ve never heard of that.

I have a very weird image of the Android OS on the thrive. The only exploit out there requires the gps to lock during the process but the thrive GPS is ballsack.

You can try factory resetting the phone to see if that’ll help your GPS lock issues. There’s nothing else you could really do. Actually, you can see if there’s an update for it, too, but your options are limited.

Yea the program on pc that forces the controller to use the same Bluetooth address

So what is it doing?

Really wanting to buy a Droid 3 if I can find one cheaply.

Looks like it’s pretty easy to root, but unlocking…haven’t seen a video on how to do it yet. That’s the main issue is getting an unlocked phone that also has a clean ESN on Verizon so that I can use it in China and Korea when I’m over here, and use it on Verizon in the States and just put it on my Verizon account and then disable it when I leave again.

Chinese sellers are selling Verizon branded unlocked and rooted Droid 3s, but I don’t know if they’re with clean ESNs, or if they’d even know, and they’d probably tell me they are just to get me to buy one, then I run the risk of taking it back home and Verizon not activating it.

Also trying (with futility) to find a way to unlock my wife’s SK Telecom locked SGS with no avail. She asked about it Saturday, no dice yet.

Guess I’ll have to search in Korean.

Got the Samsung Galaxy Note from AT&T and loving it. I had the Skyrocket since November, but handing that down to my daughter. I don’t have any desire to fuck with that Digitizer Pen at the moment, but love having the much larger screen. Fits in my pocket no problem. Phone has the exact same chipset as Skyrocket, but Skyrocket is a whole lot smoother when scrolling. I will take that trade off for the bigger screen with higher resolution.

Droid x (1) question:…could fake oem batteries cause a phone to work, then later have the phone recognize them as being phony, and not work with said batteries (no question mark or message, just plain not power on), even if you charged them externally? I took my droid x apart and I can’t find any damage or burns to indicate a shot. The phone acts normally on chargers without batteries (green light flashes to indicate no battery is in phone, can’t power on with no battery on charger like some droid x forums claim you can do), but refuses to charge the old 1500mah battery that USED to work with it (don’t know if it is authentic, I bought it from amazon after I found the phone), or the 2 new 1500mah batteries I bought in the hopes that the problem was the battery. The phone is factory android 2.1, no custom rom or even bootstrap installed (which might have helped solve this problem). Wondering if I should try a brand-name droid x battery (Lenmar) from Best Buy.
