Must be T-mobile version.
AT&T Galaxy S didn’t have 4G, only Galaxy S 2.
dayday, are you talking stock, or rooted? I believe CM7 ROMs all had tethering.
Naw, man I was saying his phone must be T-Mobile since he said it was 4G.
I rocks the Skyrocket 4G.
You’ll need CM7 for that, alpha 3.5. Worked just fine for me, but after CM9 alpha .6, I just can’t make myself go back.
Yeah I have the T-Mobile 4G Samsung Galaxy.
Yeah I have the T-Mobile 4G Samsung Galaxy.
I saw this deal on Amazon today for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus at $99. Then I clicked on family account and it jumped to $259. Apparently it’s new accounts only. HEARTBROKEN.
Hmmm… If you’re running custom roms, does it really matter if you update to ICS or not? I believe the G2x isn’t getting ICS anytime soon, but I don’t see what the big fuss is since a lot of people are using custom roms anyways.
Another question, some games require a large sd data download and it all downloads to your internal memory. Is there a way to make it so I can store the games on my external sd card and run the games from there?
I currently have a fascinate and I think im gonna throw ics on it. There is a good port of it that is supposed to be the next cm9.

People are wanting the update to ICS for the newer UI. Cyanogenmod is working on CM9 for pretty much all of the higher-end phones, including the G2X. Regarding the games, I don’t know if you can move the downloaded data to the SD card. I think that when your internal memory runs out, it’ll download them to external SD memory. Depending on your Class for the SD card, internal memory will have a faster read/write of a Class 6. That’s true in my case, as I have a 16GB MicroSD Class 2 from my original Droid 1.
Thanks. I’ll give it a try tonight.
According to xda forums, LG released ICS this morning. I don’t have the G2x, but it looks like it might be legit.
Anyway, there are a few ICS ROMs for my phone (Glacier/MyTouch 4G), but none of them have the camera working yet. That’s the only thing stopping me from moving on from CM7.1 Stable.
Don’t know if this has been asked but I have a Galaxy S I and I want to take screenshots. I heard its power and home but that doesn’t work
I had Galaxy S Captivate and had to use an App out the market called screen capture. It stays in your notification bar, and when you want a screen shot, you pull down your notification bar and press the app button, then it goes back to your screen and takes a snapshot.
I now have Galaxy S 2 Skyrocket, and it is indeed Home and Power which is awkward still. You need 3 hands to do it.
Getting that Galaxy Note hotness next month. :smokin:
Ah nice. It’s not an official release from LG, but it’s from cm9. Still really buggy I tihnk.
Currently rocking a custom ICS Nightly on my nook Color. Actually pretty stable as a daily driver.
Ok, this Droid X I found and got working? Since I found it, it would always this crap where when you charge it via wall socket , it would keep power cycling, showing that the battery had somehow dropped from wherever it was to 5%, then a second later would go up to 60%, then power cycle and do it all over again but it would charge just fine on car adaptor and usb. I put it on usb and it started resetting itself repeatedly, then would sit there powered off with just a solid green light after 3 resets…so I thought “Screw it. Usb charging never let me down before. I’ll just leave it on overnight and maybe it’ll get it’s act together.” The next morning, the Droid said the battery was dead (small red flash when I press the power button, no power up). I ordered an out-of-phone battery charger on Amazon that’s spoken of highly in customer reviews, mainly by Droid x and Dx2 users. The charger indicates the battery is fully charged already, but the phone’s still saying “Nope, that bitch is dead, son”, giving me the faint red flash and not powering up. The battery contacts on the phone are clean and aligned with no missing prongs. Phone without battery acts normally when I plug in the usb cable (rapid flashing green light), but with battery installed, it no longer gives green light like it’s supposed to. I really hope it’s the battery, in which case I ordered a couple more 1500mah from Amazon that should arrive this week.
Can anyone tell me how to root a Nook? It is considered an Android device but they have the settings blocked off where you can not even Download things like Tapatalk.
So before I moved to CA about a month ago, I had my carrier switched from Sprint to Page Plus, and my Evo 4G was flashed in store and my custom ROM removed, I was wondering if there was a way to keep my Page Plus service and everything and still apply whatever custom ROM I’d like? I’ve searched XDA a ton but there’s a bunch of unanswered threads. Thanks.
Ported my fascinate to ics. Very happy with the new os. Also ported my girlfriends vibrant to ics. Her port is a little better than mine.
