The Ameяican Government Thread

this whole china owns us is fucking retarded. We are the catalyst that allows the CPR to be solvent for now and for the forseable future

the same way the democrats are acting today.

the better question is to force those questions on the people who vote in the first place.

The only commonality should be a set of basic standards to qualify for funding. The rest the Parent who pays the tax bill and actually cares about their children are entitled to steer the direction of their subsidy, No Bureaucrat, teacher, Union rep, text book manufacturer cares about my kids education as much as I do. I have two Daughters who I started home schooling after shooter drills they affectionately call Code Reds.

We get through Common Core curriculum in less than two hours, which takes State employees 8+? Mine are 5 & 7 they write & speak Latin fluently, and are conversational in French and Spanish. Three way tie between German, Italian and Chinese for next year. They Code in C+/Java, and test in everything at or above 7th grade via common core standards it is trash.

Teachers have failed American students for as long as anyone can remember, time to let the Parents choose.

No they get the same funding they do now, Proportional to the amount of students they have.

Because they are, and with more funding than any country in the world have still failed, when they don’t do their job you let parents take their kids and tax dollars to someone who will.

I wouldn’t really call myself conservative. I supported Nader in 2000, Kucinich & Ron Paul in 2008. My ideological clones Penn Jillette, we rarely disagree.

I support national health care, funding for education hell I even think the Universal Basic Income might work. Trump opposed the Iraq war, Hillary voted for it so your Military aggression argument is about a decade old.

As far as educational funding I support what we have now, the difference between me and you is I want to give the Debit card to the parents, you want to give it the same State employees who abused it and failed for the last 60 years. They had their turn, and failed it’s time for something new.

Starting to believe your life is made up.

Because you continually thought prod for character flaws, opportunities to allege racism, challenging sincerity, motivations and grievances rather than address the merit of their position. And when that fails you tell them to lick your balls. I’m sure you believe all kinds of things about people you disagree with.

I wonder how soon it will be until Hillary uses AOL to send the nuclear launch codes out.

@Jimbo13 Your ideals and republican ideals imo are great in a society that exercises common sense and critical thinking. However, I think you are a bit of a hypocritical by calling liberals bleeding heart idealists when you expect good judgment from poor people. I understand the viewpoint of not wanting to pay for irresponsible people, but that only assures a society with a lack of economic mobility for the ones who come from bad circumstances. Which is a contradiction of the American dream of coming from nothing and becoming everything. I know that you have to believe in the American dream to say the things that you say.

I don’t expect good judgement from anyone, it’s more of a pleasant surprise than an expectation. What I reject is those who do exercise good choices being socially or financially bound to those who don’t by law. If you choose to have a charitable relationship with them bless you. If you’re on a life boat, and you can’t convince someone to stop drinking salt water push them overboard, or don’t… but I am not sharing my fritos.

And I am rarely a Republican, I am a Libertarian centrist that happens to support quite a bit of radical socialism and you wont find a lot of criticism from me towards Bernie or Stein supporters.

In a lot of your instances, I feel the same way. I’ll help whoever asks for my help, but at some point, you’re going to have to help yourself.

As much as I would like to see a third party in this election, I doubt they will make much of a difference with the way things are going now.

Did any one watch the Republican convention? What did the mother say during the convention that caused GQ & Vox writer to lash out and threaten her with death?

https://twitter.com/realkingrobbo/status/755285350155706368/photo/1

Incoming twitter permaban…right?

She is the mother of a Benghazi victim who stands by her story that Hillary directly lied to her in regards to the details of her sons death, so your tolerant liberals are harassing a grieving mother telling her story.

Nothing Hillary supporters hate more than her victims coming forward especially when they can’t demonize them as having a political slant/agenda. Her son was a Democratic appointee, guess what her politics most likely are…

Keep an eye on the soap box, Bill the biters rape victims are going to be on it all election season and they are going to be talking about Hillary intimidating them in to silence.

Hillary Clinton would probably the only president that America would be better off having assassinated before she could take office. With the amount of corruption, intimidation, and fishy deaths she’s been involved in, I doubt it would be anything but karma for her.

At least Trump doesn’t run his businesses like the mafia.

No he just scams students out of their money at his university.

It was a real estate seminar he sold his name too, so what? Sales are a talent I couldn’t do it and it’s not something that you can really teach. They learned more getting scammed than they would with a gender studies degree but you’re okay with Hillary mandating people cough up more for those parasites.

Just jelly Trump did it better.

Yes, you can. Part of my job is to do this. There are degrees just like anything else, but teaching people how to sell is imo easier than a lot of other jobs that must be learned.

So, Cruz eh? I don’t know whether I’m watching a political convention or a wrestling event.

You know the state rep who said Clinton should be shot for treason? He’s now being investigated by the Secret Service.

You might want to watch what you post on a public forum.

Well according to the DA the seminars were straight up fraud which is quite saying something. It starts with the teachers not being experts (as promised by Trump) and goes down from there. That’s not just something that sums up to “If you’re not talented, that’s not Trump’s fault”. Of course he is trying to turn this into a political case but he was sued in 2013, so there is a little more substance to that than he admits. Also he tried to settle the case backstage (which according to himself he never does). Does this sound like a misunderstanding?

Just to remind you - I’m from Germany. So I don’t live in the US and I really don’t know what Hillary is coughing up for whom. Of course we have similar choices in Germany. But in the end it all comes down to a simple question: Who do we think is capable in leading our country? The question is not “what do I get from it?” or “Where are my profits?”. The question is “Who can do the job?”. Leading a country is an extremely difficult and sensitive task. And the world is even more complex. And while I get a good impression on what Merkel is going through right now, I can’t even begin to imagine, what’s on Obama’s shoulders (judging on how his look has changed during the last 8 years it was not a picnic).
Trump and Clinton both having questionable character flaws and morals is not up to discussion. They do. You don’t get into their positions by playing nice. But Clinton has a ton of political experience (on her own and of course she also has Bill as her husband). Trump has NOTHING. He tries to turn this into an advantage by pointing out, that he is not “one of them” (and sadly people fall for this bullshit), but in the end it’s his biggest flaw. Would you like your neighbor (the crazy one that keeps yelling at his wife if she doesn’t do what he wants) to be POTUS? The why the crazy old man who keeps yelling at everybody, if he doesn’t get what he wants? He is not even that successful as a business man because he already started with a golden spoon up his ass. And while he got some talent in real estate he pretty much screwed up everything else. Oh…and of course he is a Reality TV star.

And once the guy opens his mouth a lie is about to come out. According to political facts only 3% of what Trump has said during the election campaign was actually true. That means 97 out of 100 times he says something, it’s (partly) a lie. Clinton is at 52% truth. So at least with her you can throw a coin (btw. - she leaving the soldiers in Benghazi alone, is also a lie). And up to this point Trump has never said anything that makes him look like he’s actually capable of being the president of the US. He never laid down a strategy for several problems. Everything he says is “We will do so much better. You will see”. But he never said how he will do so much better. And when he said something, experts around the world curled up into a ball and started crying (well…except for Putin and the Chinese who couldn’t stop laughing).

So when it comes down to the question “Trump or Clinton”, there is only one realistic answer. Clinton is far from perfect. But when you are prompted to choose between two doors and you open the first and see the apocalypse, logic demands that you choose the one that has “EBOLA” written all over it.
And don’t think that Trump will change. Don’t think that suddenly the screaming hater will be replaced by the great and wise politician Trump. His pre-election campaign was driven by the motto his (now fired) campaign manager gave out: “Let Trump be Trump.” What you see, is what you get. And what you will get is a delusional old man with the worst personality ever, who will fuck up the US in a way Clinton couldn’t do if her life depended on it.

A pretty big gap in your position is the fact that we pay taxes for public education not to educate our own children, but to create an educated and civilized population for ourselves and our families to live in. Private and home education have always been available for our own children, should we deem the public option inadequate. If we create a system where the least responsible parents (of which there are many) are required to actively choose their children’s curriculum, we thereby choose to live in a society where a significant portion have been de facto condemned to the worst available education.

If you are upset that you continue to pay into a public education system you do not choose to utilize for your own children, consider yourself in the same boat as those of us without any children who pay into the same system. We do it not for our own immediate benefit, but for the purpose of creating a better society to live in.

The fact that it takes more hours to teach a class of 40 students who do not love you than it does to teach your own two daughters the same material should be self evident and not require an explanation.

Also, funding for school districts is better described as a function of the assessed property values of the homes in a school district than the count of students therein. A system where schools compete for student recruitment simply encourages schools to locate in and recruit from affluent areas even more than the current system does.

Germany is being invaded by migrants by Angela Merkel who is opening the door to them and giving them tax payer money. As they feed and live rent free and rape German women cucks like mcguirk praises his leader without a care for the fact that with current trends more than 50% of Germany will not be German by 2020. Idiots will be watching your country become culturally enriched on TV over the next 5 years and say “hind sight is always 20/20.”

Trump is still a clown and still trust what Hillary can do an office more than rich guy with asinine things to say about every culture. It’s true that these people show off that the 2 party system is ass, but Trump is just too far up his own ass for me. Just like most of the other Republicans I’ve seen basically.
