Based on personal experience. I’ve seen guys with the same degrees, same age, same manner of dress, and the job goes to anyone except the black person. Ive seen guys from out of state/country hired before they even considered hiring from somebody from thier own home town (which includes white people).

Things may be different in your region. But down here? That white guy is going to look like a better candidate. That Latino may or may not work for lower wages. Depending on the business, you may need to hire a woman soon…whose almost guaranteed to be white. (Black women may have brought that on themselves. A lot of them don’t know how to conduct themselves in public, usually those in thier mid to late 20s).
But the matter at hand is black folks down South have an uphill battle to climb and generally come from worse conditions as an additional handicap. And the funny thing is a lot of us just can’t up and move to a new place unless we go to a college out of state/and or get a scholarship.
Hell, I’m luckier than most because I’ve been able to get by on personal connections from going to the college where my great grandad used to work at and getting in the through a loophole, to knowing the right people to put in a good word for me. A lot of people don’t have my kind of luck down here.
Don’t get it twisted. EVERYONE is boned down here unless they got old money…
If you get stuck here its hard to get out because they don’t pay us in anything but beans down here(though that goes for everyone).
But no. I tend to look at the reality of the situation. White people have an easier time playing the game than most people (nevermind black folks) down south, which is the facts of the situation. No one really wants to risk angering Asians since they own the majority of our national debt, if you wanna go the generalization route.
And of that list I fall into neither.
I wake up. Work out. Eat breakfast. Do research. Go to work. Come home. Wind down on the internet for a couple of hours. Read a book. Go to sleep. Repeat.
I work 7 days a week in order to sustain myself and save until I have enough to make an investment. Currently looking into index funds, but that requires at the very least 3000 dollars, which means I have to go back to grinding and working. The point is that I’m willing to work to better myself and get myself out of this terrible state. Because Lousiana is terrible. Cheap to live yes, but there’s also no room to make that upper middle class money unless you literally have to drive to work here and companies have to compete by paying you at least what you’d make in another state. The amount of people who drive from Texas to work here is insane.
As far as helping black people as a whole goes, I have neither the political inclination, the capital, the charisma or the ability and brilliance required to establish a legitimate platform.
And the fact is there are already sufficient voices in the black community trying to get us to strive for self sufficiency… but it falls on deaf ears and/or niggas don’t care or know where to look to find such information.
And those who do become self sufficient through whatever means often can’t go back to the same community because jealous niggas can and have killed people for no reason other than they wanted your sneakers, or the fact you didn’t loan them 50 dollars when they asked for it.
There’s a reason why those who get out don’t go back (or even do community outreach). Because there’s often no point if where you escaped from is bad enough.
I have three questions everyone in power ought to be forced to answer: In whose interests do you exercise power? To whom are you accountable? …And how do we get rid of you?
Trump has essentially built himself a cult following. He doesn’t have to defend himself anymore, people will do it for him. Not only that, but its a significant amount of the country no one willing to admit existed until he tapped into it.
Trump knows how to play the game. Whether he’ll get the right people to help him actually succeed on the world stage is a different matter entirely. There’s a significant chance he’ll have shitty council and therefore fuck up due to bad advice. It doesn’t need to be said that almost none of his reforms (should hebdraw any up) will come to fruition should he happen to take the oval office.
It makes one think he’s doing this for his family legacy and anything else he happens to accomplish should he become president is a bonus.
On the other hand there’s Hillary, whose still in the running despite numerous red flags because the pussy pass is a real thing. Honestly does it really have to be Hillary? Can’t we, I don’t know …give it the old college try with some woman whose not both this ethically and morally bankrupt?
I refuse to believe the runner-up 8 years ago was the best candidate the democratic party could muster this time around. Honestly don’t think Hillary would be able to beat Romney.

The power and wealth brokers who provide the backing for serious campaign runs viewed him as too weakened as a candidate by his loss to Obama to get behind him for a run in the primaries. They mostly assumed Jeb was going to be basically a stronger version of Romney.
And Romney really isn’t the kind of guy to stick his neck out unless it is somebody else’s money on the line.

Establishments tend to run on shady backroom deals like that- it’s the smart play since you centralise resources and avoid cannibalising on each other.
It’s also probably the reason why Clinton had such poor competition.
I can’t really say, that I envy you guys. Even from across the Atlantic Ocean this whole election thing looks like a giant mess. We sure don’t get all the info but how on earth did Trump manage to get this far? He’s openly racist and anti-woman. He clearly doesn’t know, what he’s talking about. He takes every ounce of criticism personal. He’s lying when he opens his mouth… He is impulsive, far from cool and basically everything that should never ever come near a negotiation with…let’s say China or Russia (not to mention the football). How did this guy become the republican candidate? How can people think that this failed character can solve any problem? Because he insults each and everyone never thinking twice about the crap falling out of his pie hole? If it wasn’t that serious one could laugh the entire day. But the thought, that this idiot soon could be the most powerful man in the world…I mean he makes George W. Bush look like a shining example off how a president should be.
I don’t think that it really matters, what Hillary is. There simply is no alternative to her.
Move to a country that doesn’t use property taxes to fund schools then. Public schools are in trouble because of the politicized educational standards that progressive state like NY try to enact without knowing what they’re doing, and because you have regressives in states like TX & TN fighting over whether or not creationism should be taught. Common Core should be a thing, but it should be implemented and worked on by TEACHERS, NOT politicians who know nothing about education or the ED system. There NEEDS to be some sort of commonality in education from state to state.
And yes, the schools would be underfunded if people could take their property tax money and put it towards a school of their choice. That’s what you were advocating in your earlier post. There are ways to afford tuition to private schools, including grants as far as I know.
It’s funny that you’re calling public schools “retard factories” and also advocating taking money out of their coffers, as if education isn’t a noble thing. I find it hilarious that conservative folks are usually the ones who say “We don’t have money for education/nationalized healthcare” or some other thing that would help a lot of people and improve the general standard of living for a lot of people, yet they’re always the first to complain when funding gets pulled from the military, which has been vastly overfunded for a long time IMO. You guys just want to watch the world burn, don’t you?
