I like arguing about ideals and stuff, I’m a libertarian. This election is about self preservation though, if Clinton wins globalism and the Regressive Left will own the future in the anglosphere.
Maybe I missed something, but I don’t think he’s talking about government-paid maternity leave, I think he’s only talking about employers providing it. Someone getting employer-paid leave and ALSO government paid IS bullshit and I don’t see how that’s a thing to be able to double dip.
As someone whos been married out of high school and has 3 daughters I take care of four women, private personal tutor, college tuition is in the bank, full coverage blue cross and anything thing they want. My kids get the 3DSXL and my 6 year plays on a premium VLX so coming from someone whom I assume is responsible for no one but themselves don’t tell me my opinion of women is low.
I am not insinuating, I am flat out saying it. If they don’t have a parent at home, you’re fucking your kids and you care about yourself more than them.
It is not societies, your employers, men or anyone elses responsibility to subsidize your biological disadvantages or choices.
I don’t want people who are financially unstable, in mediochre jobs whose employers can’t afford maternity leave in single parent homes having kids, let alone encouraging it with subsidies.
So? I don’t give two shits about corporations bottom line. Negative birth rates are healthy in over-populated areas when it comes to quality of life and environment. It’s not great for corporations, I am sure people would like less congestion, less inflation or any of the other shit that comes with over population.
For a society to function, people need to have children. Period.
And for people to have children, women are going to have to carry them. Period.
These are natural realities. And if this has to happen, it seems that there ought to be a fair and healthy way for this to happen. Because if it doesn’t, your society is going to die.
Having a fair and healthy way for this to happen is imperative if you want well educated and capable mothers having children. If you make having children an overly harmful choice for women, all you’re doing is prompting the most insightful people with a uterus to not use it.
Society should want to encourage capable mothers to have children, as they’re much more likely to contribute constructive members of society through their offspring. This creates people you wouldn’t mind your kids going to school with. People years down the road you’d like to be your neighbor or coworker.
Jesus, that’s brutal coming from Powell. It’s not even like Hillary can defend herself either, without acknowledging the leak and undoing her arguments against the DNC hacks.
Reproduction is still a choice. That doesn’t change. All I said is that it needs to happen for a society to function, which I don’t think anyone will argue with.
And if it has to happen, there needs to be a good system set up to facilitate it. At this point there are no alternatives to a woman carrying a child to term.
