This is definitely an area where employers should get deep tax credits to provide it. Conservatives are want good strong families but won’t really do anything to legitimately promote. If you don’t want to do paperwork, hire someone else to do it (C’mon, be a JOB CREATOR) or don’t start your own business, or start a business that doesn’t require any employees but you. So do you also think someone should be SOL if they get hurt on the job and can’t work too? What happens to those people? You don’t want to have to pay for them, but what if they’re unable to work, their employer doesn’t want to pay for it, and there’s no public assistance for them? Then what? When companies realize that keeping jobs in the West instead of outsourced to China, to slaves, that they will lose in the short term due to the higher wages, but actually make it back in droves because they’re creating a customer base of people who can actually afford the products.
Though the main problem we have right now is instiutionalized greed. Companies are, by law, forced to grow, not just make a profit, they have to grow no matter what to appease gambling shareholders. Then one day some rich assholes got together and said they want to become richer assholes, and figured out that they could save and thus make short term gains in the millions by outsourcing jobs to Chinese slaves, not looking at the bigger picture that by doing so they destroyed the middle class customers who purchased their products in the first place.
So they had to make more cuts, the quality went down the drain to make the products cheeper so the now poorer Americans could afford them.
But because making billions isn’t good enough they have to grow and grow and grow, they made more cuts and cut even more employees, more outsourcing now it’s so bad that the government has to step in and create socialist programs based on taxes to support the now poorer and poorer American households.
Oh and by the way, in 1913 other rich assholes this time in banking decided to rip off America by creating an unconstitutional central banking scheme that strips the currency of its value over time, known as the Un-Federal Non-Reserve fractional reserve system, endless inflation and it’s taken 100 years but now our currency is worth about pennies on the dollar.
So on top of everything else we have a country drowning in never ending debt because The Un-Federal non-reserve lends money it doesn’t have to our government with interest.

In just our lifetime the purchasing power of the dollar has lost half it’s value. 200$ in the 90’s is the equivalent to 400$ today. We all lose under this system.

Ad hominem fallacy. We happen to actually have Government-paid maternity leave here, and we damn well shouldn’t. It is an incentive for irresponsible parents to have children on the taxpayer’s dime.
No it won’t. You end up with (mostly) women taking time off under their employer’s maternity leave, which is fine; then taking Government maternity leave, THEN taking unpaid leave after that, sometimes being away from their job for two years. In that time, the business needs to either backfill for that extended leave, or determine if said mother actually wants to come back. Many times, they don’t.
Stop giving single parents more welfare. Stop giving people incentives to have children when they’re not prepared. FORCE parents to be responsible, and don’t reward them with welfare for bad behaviour.
Fix the culture first. People only see Government as a cash source and a reason to milk them.
