The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (May 2014)

lol oh great lesean thomas and joe mad are about to begin a facebook spiderman circle jerk lmfao. they both are hyped for the trailer.

Is the 10 yrs a confirmed thing?
I assumed from the trailer that Peter and Harry haven’t seen each other in 10 years but are best friends. Which explains his absence from part 1

It’s not ten years later.

It’s just been ten years since Peter and Harry have seen each other.

Goddamn that trailer is hype as fuck. That crap Spidey was doing with the sewer hatch was too sick.

Spiderman GOAT. Queens>>>>

Go suck a lemon in advance @RockBogart‌

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this could be the best Spider-Man movie since SM2 (and maybe even better).

I’m loving all of the extra creative acrobatics going on, and Electro poses a major kind of threat never seen before in previous movies.

This is a how a non-Marvel Studios Spider-Man movie should be done, Fox isn’t even close to being on this level.

I havent been following the development of the movie, but is Norman Osborn still in the film?

And is Harry supposed to be a “prototype goblin”, and then Norman becomes the Goblin in the sequel?

I’ve heard Rhino is not in the film much as well. True?

Thanks…

I don’t think that’s been disclosed.

And yes about Rhino.

I liked the music in that trailer. It gave it that extra “oomph”

well the trailer shows a red haired goblin…with hair flowin in the wind. kinda confused about that. since harry’s hair isnt red and norman god the god tier wave like he wears a durag to bed every night.

I like the evil disfigured look for the goblin

Damn yo, that’s why I don’t mess with meth…got them Trevor teeth…

And come on, quit actin like there has really been a good one outside of SM2. The reboot was ‘solid’ and the first one was ‘solid’…nothing more. The third one is on the same shelf as Robocop 3, TMNT3, Aliens 5, etc

Man, I hate to admit it, but now that I rewatch the first Raimi Spidey movie…it sure feels campy as fuck. The dialogue, dead obvious CG…it’s still enjoyable, I just cannot take it seriously anymore.

Yeah, but Kirsten Dunst’s nipples.

Only redeeming quality of the Raimi movies. :coffee:

Besides the second one.

Seriously? The movie hasn’t been released in the States? SERIOUSLY?!

Anyway, I thought the movie was…OK. I’m having a hard time trying to distinguish if they’re really going with the Ultimate Spider Man or regular Spidey. Also…it kinda dwells between “damn that’s intense” and “meh” all too often.

[details=Spoiler]Jamie Foxx as Electro was…surprisingly bland. I think they just never give him too much exposure (aside from him being Spidey’s obsessed fanboy), because he kinda “vanishes” for a good part of the movie, then he reappears, aaaaand…you don’t care for him anymore when that happens. Cool powers and presentation, but not too much substance to even “relate” to his plight.

Kinda felt that the Green Goblin was kinda “tacked on” at the end. You know, kinda like Venom in Spidey 3. Yes, I know it is pretty much a given that he will come back in the sequel, but seriously, they should have saved him for part 3, and considering he is Spidey’s main villain, he doesn’t really get much of a spotlight. Then again, I guess that happens when you have a movie with more than one villain.

Rhino is…eeeeeh…Rhino. Surprisingly, his “true” appearance comes at the very end. Odd.

On the good side, I REALLY like Garfield’s portrayal of Spidey much more than Tobey Macguire. He just feels more natural in the role, and his humor is really spontaneous and on the mark (Macguire always seemed kinda awkward when he was cracking jokes).

Yes, you all saw it coming…Gwen Stacy kicks the bucket in this one. VERY similar to how Gwen really dies in the comics. I must say…it was well conveyed. I thought they were gonna cop out at the last minute, but thankfully never did.

Seriously now…NO EXTRA SCENE AFTER THE CREDITS??? All we got was…a scene from Days of Future Past? Come on now Sony…[/details]

Anyway, go see it. Nothing really AMAZING but it’ll keep you entertained, for what it’s worth.

I just read the spoilers because I didn’t care too much about this one.

[details=Spoiler]Ah, so they actually go through with taking out Gwen? I mean, it was pretty much hinted at mightily AND Emma Stone went out of her way to say that Gwen should die but I was still skeptical that they’d pull the trigger.

Welp, 2 years until MJ. :coffee:[/details]

[details=Spoiler]Oh believe me, they hint it a LOT during the movie.

Gwen’s ghost dad giving that ill omen.

Gwen and Peter making plans to move to England (yeah right).

Gwen constantly trying to get into harm’s way.

Everytime these things happened I was like…“OK, when this bitch gonna die again?”[/details]

Spoiler

Welp, yet again, 2 years until MJ. :coffee:

I really didn’t like this movie. A lot of the drama seemed quite unnatural and contrived (EmmaParker), and some scenes just make my head hurt, particularly public fights. There’s “I believe in Spider-Man,” and there’s “Let’s all stand nearby the guy throwing electricity everywhere so that we can cheer Spidey and put him on the big screen.”

Electro’s song pre-villainy was cute though. Kind of gets in your head.

I actually enjoyed the scenes with Peter and Gwen they had great chemistry together…and i’m not really a romantic comedy fan…also true Garfield is a much better Spiderman than McMacguire

Spoiler

The girl that will play MJ already got a lot of crap just for not looking the part…and she will have a hard time feeling the shoes of Emma Stone…
