I kinda like superjumping backwards before the super. Also if you can pull glaive out in time before the :s: good things happen.
as far as I understand :s: doesn’t cancel into anything but jump. you have to TK it for that to work
it might be good practice to jump up forward before the super since if you do the same in glaive you can :df::qcf::s::qcf::atk::atk: midscreen
it’s an error, you can’t do that specific string
you can do :l::h:
or :h::d::h:
and I think :l::h::d::h:
but not :l::h::d::h:
I honestly can’t understand a lot in the first post tbqh, couple of things that are either typos or just don’t work
Why are the exchange cancel (OTG j.:df::h: j.:d::s:) combos still in the OP? They don’t work. Anyone can mash :d::s: on reaction to the spike and break it, since mashing it then has no downside. I would have wasted a lot less time if I didn’t have to find that out the hard way yesterday :sad:
Oh thanks so much. This is such a sick combo. After mashing in training mode for a bit I worked this in to a midscreen bnb with spencer assist, like so, using a projectile assist to cover for hitstun degradation:
:l:/:d::l: /:d:
:h: :d::d:
,
:h: :d::h:+:a1: :qcf::l:, :f::f:, :s: sj.:qcf::h:, (slight delay) j.[:h:], :qcf:[:l:], :h: :d::h:+:a2: :qcf::l: :qcf::atk::atk:: 690-725k, depending on how many hits of Okami Shuffle you get.

As depicted it starts with solar flare, but you can start it from thunder edge too.
you’re whiffing the exchange and still getting it broken?
Anyone using :l: xx :qcb:
> :l:
xx :qcb:
> :l:
xx :qcb:
>
:s: > j.
:s: > :df::h: xx Shuffle? Corner, with glaive, of course. 545~560 damage, one meter.
Also, is this common knowledge:
-if you do an air combo after :s: with Amaterasu, into j. :qcf::h: xx MIST and DHC that, the character that comes next will have super jump status on their :s:. What I mean by that is best shown by example:
j. :qcf::h: xx MIST xx DHC into Wesker’s Counter xx XFC > j.:s:
j.:s:, a regular jumping :s:, which usually does not knock down, will slam the opponent to the floor. It will retain this property until the end of the combo, so at any point you do it (even after a re-jump), it’ll behave like that.
Yes, as long as they mash :d::s: it fails. I tested this pretty thoroughly when I found out.
You can do the other exchanges as well. Forward gives a wall bounce and Up launches them upwards. These aren’t as good because the down is the only one that resets the ground bounce counter. However you can still combo off of them. Or you could whiff the explosion entirely and getting a basic relaunch off of any direction of exchange since the explosion won’t come out, but again this doesn’t reset the ground bounce counter.
You can get damage off of them. But not as much damage as you could be getting with other stuff. So it’s not worth it.
glaive combo 550 midscreen 570k corner
c.L c.M c.H S j.M j.M xx 236L, j.H (full charge) / 236L xx super
works into okami shuffle and lvl3. only combo I found that works on everybody everywhere without any fuckin around, because midscreen 236L loops do not seem to be reliable.
in the corner you can do
c.L c.M c.H s.S j.M j.M j.H j.M xx 236L / 236L xx super
so that you build the meter the super needs in the combo. I’ve seen Trag do it midscreen, but again… doesn’t seem reliable
after watching JWong at Final Round it looks like the only combo you need is flame stance f+H stuff anyway
Yeah, Justin Wong’s BnB with the Flame :f::h: x5, weapon change , :d:
, launch is really solid. I was amazed at how well X-factor worked after catching two characters in the :f::h: x5, I’ve done that a few times online since.
Also, for the record, Justin performed the reset I mentioned on page 5 in one of his games with Combofiend. I was so happy when I saw it.
edit: I was wrong and figured out why, so removing my post. However I looked back in the thread and didnt see anything about this…
Also is it true Ammy can combo super into super into super for as long as she has meter? Would be pretty sick to find out I’ve been using the new Cable all this time! lol
How did the player do this ridiculous MvC3 Combo with Amaterasu? It’s taking over as my bread and butter if I ever find out.

After the standard combo you just knock them down, immediately switch to glaive, (instant j.3H j.236S super) x3
Sometimes you can only land 1 or 2 supers… I’m not sure what affects the bounce.
The number of hits on the j.236S Make sure you get all hits on the first(depends on how you combo into it, just do super when you touch the ground basically) and second(2 hits), and it doesn’t matter on the last.
How is he hitting so many Hs in Glaive?
:f::h: x4. Nothing cancels into it, but you can do it from neutral. Also, every hit can be charged, since they’re glaive attacks. But that combo is actually inefficient; it’s much more damage to go for 6 :qcf::l:s at the start and then, after landing, go for :qcf:[:l:] > :h: :d::h: :qcf::l:
Yo! Just wanna bump up and thank that this thread exists… I’m gonna use Amaterasu as primary and Arthur (and I’m still thinking on my third character)…
Hey I’ve seen people switch to glaive both pre-launch and post-launch. Is there any reason to go one way over the other? or just a matter of preference? Also, any tips on switching to the glaive between f+HHHHHH and S? (I imagine this has been asked before, sorry if so)
Glaive combo’s do more damage overall. But there are situations where you might not be able to switch on the ground and do them. Test it out for yourself. Training mode ain’t far away.
Hey is anybody using the dhc glitch wit ammy is so wat r yal combos
