I like canceling into fireball better. It keeps the pressure.
AFAIK we don’t know about either roll or pandora changes yet.
Prepare for a health nerf if we know Capcom right.
from the looks of it vita versions pandora is a bit different(maybe a time extension) . We have already confirmed that rolls will have a 8 frame vulnerability somewhere.
Well, we have HEARD, it’s def not confirmed.
i dont like the changes they have made to her alisa!
Very smart change,Alisa will be more effective now.
I guess no more close call AA fireballs now that we can just cl.hp them out of the air.
Wow. Great buffs for alisa. Faster normals. Too bad she had to lose 50 hp. God forbid a female have a 1000 hp.
Hey guys, I run a team of Alisa x Juri and I’m not sure what to do with Alisa after launcher, or tag cancel. Any tips?
Off launcher or low tag:
Quick Access, cr.HP xx dual boot > K
Off high tag:
J.HP, quick access xx dual boot > K

Alisa is going to be top tier in v.2013…until people learn how to get around her gimmicks.
What are you guys doing for her oki? I normally just go with meaty des pressure. Is there some thing really effective that i should be going for?
Yeh, I typically go for meaty destro or ambiguous j.MK. People always underestimate the range of her destro pokes. Delayed destro overhead works great on jumpers, you get a free combo off the groundbounce.
Yes I think her poking range is key. You can stay at a range where a DP would whiff and still be able to get good meaty pressure. If you have meter (likely) you can even cr.hp xx clock setting into tag for a new mixup on block and big damage on hit should they not be crouch blocking. If you’re not in des form, surprise dash into meaty or semi meaty throw is also an option to keep people on their toes.
I am not a fan of the overhead without a good read since it’s punishable on block.
Hey guys. I’m pretty new to Alisa. I played SFxT back before the DLC but I dropped it when I got mad at the game lol. I’m still deciding on my team for 2013, debating between King, Alisa, and Lars for characters so I figured I’d learn them all and see what’s best. So some questions about Alisa. What’s her overall gameplan? Zoning/poking, rushdown? Anything like that? I searched through the thread and I didn’t see much but I only skimmed so I’m probably wrong. Also what does “CADCing” mean? I saw that listed in some of her combos but no explanation, again I might have missed it. Thanks ahead of time!
CADC (Charge Attack Dash Cancel) is to cancel a move (I guess it’s her cl.HP in this situation) into a character’s Super Charge move (Alisa’s is QCB+K) and then instantly dash out of it, making it look kinda lika a meterless FADC.
Soooo Cradle Star can cross up, but only at weird ranges. Anyone willing to look into this?
I had this happen randomly online, I assumed it was lag-related.
Anyway even if it’s legit, cradle star is way too risky to whif and what do you gain from a hit, 90 damage?
the same could be said about sim’s limbs he only gets a small amount from his far pokes but if you read it right he can be launched into a full combo. I just think this could be implemented well in her zoning game.
I am wondering the same about Alisa but I hope I can help with what I’ve found thus far. Alisa is a zoning character predominantly who keeps her opponents away with good fireballs she can angle around like Yukiko fans on the ground. When they get complacent or ballsy she has lots of dashing forwards moves to catch them unawares or go for a tag cancel and start in your face pressure with other characters, she is one of the better characters at tagging herself out safely even if this got nerfed slightly in 2013. More up close she has her multihitting Destroy form which is also good for tag canceling, does strong damage, and has a solid overhead.
I think the player hiro sensei uses Alisa the most to how I imagine, though an Alisa player can tell me if it is actually right, so look him up on youtube if interested.
As for your other characters she might go well with King more because he dominates at close range and mixes up there and many of Alisa’s moves tag him in safely to work that magic. King is also gonna be crazy good after January 29, bank on it.
