It said hitboxes were changed, so hopefully they changed the hitbox of ex sho so that it always combos fully. If it does then she won’t need tatsu to get past fireballs.
That thought hadn’t even crossed my mind when I read "hitbox/framedata stuff."

These r sone great buffs better hit box on cr mk as got me excited. Just how good this could be could really change matchups for he favor. And faster recover on hadou is never a bad thing. I’m really excited to play with new Sakura. I think things r lookin really good right now
While I’ll take whatever buffs they hand out. I don’t really know if this fixes sakura’s problems.

I was gonna post a big thing like Skatan did, but literally he posted everything that I wanted to say (and then some).
If the buff to cl.mp is made in the way that I think it is, this means that going for CH cl.mp will suddenly become supremely more viable. It’s already not a bad idea because you can link cr.mk off of CH cl.mp, but in the update she should be able to get clean sweep, instead of having to throw on a st.lp in the middle to get the sweep. If cl.mp changes to at least +5 on hit like they are implying, then that means CH cl.mp will be +8! This means that she could link a sweep (instead of having to do cl.MP, st.jab, sweep) or even U2 depending on the character.
I’m very pleased with the changes man, and I’m really eager to see what the vague “hitboxes” change is.
as an edit to my last post i miss read the far standing mk to be cr mk. my bad. but hey if they did make the hit box on cr mk better ill be even more excited
ideal change for me would’ve been for lk.tatsu to be +1 on block and invincibility frames on non-ex shoukens. that might’ve been asking for too much though
the fireball change could be huge, especially if startup frames were reduced too. hitbox/damage changes are way too vague. could be anything from no change, to god tier change.
maybe its just me, but i dont see the changes to c.mp as a huge buff. its nice to see, but most of the time im probably still going to stick with s.rh, c.mk or s.lp/c.lk depending on the range. there might be some specialized situations where far mp is a better poke, but i dont think its going to be very common

I happy that its all buffs butits too vague. Because its so vague its making me think things will get much better than they could end up being. So far we know that she’ll definately have better combos and pokes and maybe less damage scaling so that is really good for me.

I’m not sure about this one. The move will have to be really buffed alot to make me wanna use it more. I wonder if it will become as good as Bison’s s.mk or s.hk lol. That would be fantastic!
Air tatsu buff is the one I’ve got my eye on the most. I wonder if it can juggle U2 midscreen and U1 in the corner. Maybe it can juggle with shouken, hadoken and otoshi too!
If we do air to ground tatsu will it allow us to combo like ken?

Fireball getting better recovery. Will we be able to combo after fireball like Juri can? Or will it be like Ryu hp fireball recovery? Better recovery is always good but I wanna know how far we can take this. They need to give more info.
s.mp I’m not sure about how great it will be to be able to cancel from that move. Its another poke I don’t use much as it is. I like the sound of c.mp and c.mk buff alot but the hit confirm thing wasn’t clear. Are they saying we can do far s.mp>c.mp/c.mk or we can do c.mp>c.mk in a combo?
c.mk and c.mp are great pokes already so I can only imagine how much better she’ll be in footsies. These arepretty good buffs!
I dunno how you guys can be happy with the huge lack of information they gave us. They didn’t explain anything properly and they said various other things have been tweaked to make her stronger. Why no exact details?
Since they’re reducing the recovery exponentially on her hadoken levels, it’s going to become easier to find setups for lv3 hado. Wouldn’t surprise me if someone like ex sho, meaty lv3 hado would start working now.
Otherwise it’s great since her c.mk x hado pressure is going to get stronger, and there might be more ways to use it now.
Wow! I actually thought she would get some minor buffs and an equal amount of nerfs. But all buffs now? Seems like a dream, let’s just hope the details of each buff will be ok. Anyway, looking forward to seeing more tournament-Sak’s.
Yeah Sakura got some awesome buffs. I’m wondering how good the far mp hitbox could be. Could we be lucky enough that it will crush shoto low forwards and then we can buffer hp shouoken in. Can’t wait to try her out.
Yes all the buffs are GREAT for combos and more damaging hit-confirms.
But think about her special moves, they are still the same, not that they are THAT bad, her tatsu is one of the best and her shouoken has a crazy range when buffered in cr.mk in footsies. But think about option selects, her special moves can barely catch backdashes when option selected, and they don’t have any priority whatsoever, except for going through fireballs?. When you think about it, Sakura has a safe-jump opportunity after every single knockdown. But any bison will EX crusher out, for example when i play ken my main, i always OS shoryuken to cover that option.
Please feel free to correct me if am wrong.
Nice to see these buffs…now just praying this comes to consoles in the near future because arcades are extinct in my area.
hadouken buff!! yay!!!
being able to actually hit confirm crouching medium kick is fucking crazy. its so fast and has decent enough range. Its a nice poke. I have a really easy time landing it. If every time it landed, it was followed by a shouken… good times ahead.
I was really hoping for a hadouken buff. I would have preferred the buff to be to the start up frames but since she has a fairly slow hadouken travel speed, maybe we’ll be able to follow it in like Guile? That could be interesting.
Nice to just pray to the capcom gods that they don’t do something stupid like not release AE to consoles. Heard anything about a DLC option or something like that? Last I heard they wouldn’t comment on console release.
This being an arcade only release would make me cry. For real, would break my heart. Please capcom, let me give you more money!
