is it worth it to make it out to one of these? id be in there if you guys are playing 3s
how many people do you have show up normally
What’s up guys? Is Sunday really the biggest day to show up? I’m surprised. Don’t people have work and shit the next day?
Are people gonna be playing tomorrow and saturday?
Is this every weekend? Does a lot of good people come to this sessions? I have PS3 and you guys have PS3 setups I’m guessing right? Are you having it tomorrow or next weekend? I’m willing to stop by tomorrow and practices.
Been sick since last Wednesday so couldn’t make it out yesterday. Probably can make it out next week (gonna be at Next Level this Sunday).
i was damn excited to go up last sunday but it was closed…so def this weekend!
Was there a session last week? I wasn’t sure because there was no post about it. Is there one today?
Hey Guys! I’ll be moving to the Bronx on Friday Morning (7th Oct). I’m an avid SF AE player and would like to know on what days are the best competition for Street Fighter AE are held on. Friday Or Sunday? When will the most players be there etc etc? I also play a bit of Marvel!
Which part of the Bronx? I just moved to the Bronx from out of state and am trying to find my way around town. I actually made it into 8-bit the other day and it’s a pretty sweet store. But I’m trying to find people I can play who are closer Uptown.
Im’ll be on Commonwealth Avenue. The Number 6 train is my stop (St.Lawrence).
Word? I’m moving back to the BX in a week, actually one stop away from st lawrence. Gotta set up some casuals sometime.
Just walked passed this place last night… when is the next time they will be holding a session? I’m not good but looking to gain as much info as possible, and also want to have a good time with fellow MvC3 players.
thats just a couple blocks from me, im on metcalf (2 blocks from morrison/soundveiw) but i been busy latley on all the session nights… i need to get my practice back up. seems like theres more and more street fighter/marvel players up town latley. bronx street fighter players unite!
So is this dead? Dudes at 8bit and Up are mad cool… NYC needs another Chinatown Fair. I’m gonna die this winter.
From what I can tell this still happens. I pass by 8-Bit on weekend nights and that place always looks open. I’ve thought about bringing a date there a few weeks ago but…yeah.
Haha, gaming venues are not my idea of a date.
Well we were drinking so I thought it was a good idea! Then common sense kicked in and we went to another bar.
NYC needs an arcade really bad.
I guess it depends on if the person you’re with is a good date or not.
And yes NYC needs an Arcade, really really bad.
I’d be down to research what it takes to get Chinatown Fair back in bis. Or something like it some where.
Where’d all the game cabinets go to die?
It’d be really hard to get traditional arcades back in business. There’s too much risk and little to gain.
I’m no expert, but I feel that there’s A LOT of potential for an arcade that is more individualized (as in, targeted towards individuals). The gaming scene - and medicine, technology, yada yada yada - are all going in this direction, and no one has taken advantage of this yet in terms of arcades. Actually, they already are at this stage, and $$$ is playing catchup. The benefit is you can copy what’s done in medicine and tech and apply it here. So, I’d recommend that in lieu of a revival.
Sorry, won’t derail the topic too much.
