This place is pretty close to where I work so I think I’m gonna check it out today. I don’t have my stick with me but I’ve been wanting to find a venue to play casuals.
I work about 15 minutes away walking, hopefully I’ll be there next Friday.

I see that 360 and PS3 are played. Which stick should I bring as I have both. Is there one console that’s predominantly used?
Usually 360 is the predominant console that is used, so I would bring the 360 stick.

Stopped by for a bit on Friday, it’s a nice place! Definitely gonna be by this Friday with my stick for some MvC3 and I might even scrub it up in SF4.

There will not be an 8-bit Dojo session on Friday July 22nd, as Salty Battles 3 is scheduled for the same day. Chocolate Lemon will be co-hosting SB3 with Local Battles and 995Phil. There’s even a film showing you how to get to the venue. Mosey on over there to get your Pony Time fix:

Turnouts have been great lately! We’ve been able to run practice tournaments for MvC3 and AE with anywhere from 10-20 people. Awesome way to learn matchups under pressure and iron out those competition nerves in a fun and laidback environment.

Dammit, right when I’m moving to Manhattan! Are there other regular/semi-regular sessions that happen in Manhattan? I live in Midtown.
I’ve never been here because pad players are unwelcome (WTF?), but these guys are pretty regular. This is the Financial District/Wall St. area, so I don’t know where exactly they play. There’s a mall in the location they list, and no room to actually play, as far as I know. Playing in a fish market sounds… Interesting
