The 7th Inning Stretch a.k.a. MLB 2k7 Season thread (Fantasy baseball included)

6 more games against the Yankees. In those 6 games, you’ll find out if you got what you paid for.

This is true. But I’m still confident…but the Yankees still do have probably the best batting rotation.

I did. And they’re zero games behind now.

I actually didn’t think the Cubs would be in the hunt for the playoffs and I’m a Cubs fan. Though, I do hope they don’t pull one of their famous choke jobs. Keep the hope train alive!!!

EDIT: They still need some help for their bullpen, though.

They need more offense before I worry about the pen.

Always.

Worry.

About.

The Pen.

First.

In all seriousness, a good set of relievers is more important than offense, because a good offense is worthless if you can’t hold a lead.

Bonds has tied the record.

Yet it seems no one cares.

I care very much. And I care even more about when he breaks it.

Because once he does, they’ll stop giving us live Barry Bonds at-bats and just stop talking about the whole thing.

Yet it seems the media and SF itself are the only people that care.

It is basically people are going oh wow Beroid Bonds hit another hr what a shocker.

I care. I’m neither the media or in San Fransisco. Congratulations to Barry Bonds, the greatest baseball player of all time.

We need at least one more.

Fixed for you

Fixed for you.

Dumbest shit I ever read.

Also, woo, 755. One more and people will finally shut up for a minute.

Yeah, that too. They should have gone after Teixiera.

Texeira? too much money, too much no position to play, too much to give up to get him. I would rather have had Saltalamacchia. I would’ve taken Dunn or Griffey, too. What I really want to see is Geovany Soto catching 4 days a week. Jason Kendall is a scrub now, although he’s no worse than the scrubs they were putting out there post-Barrett.

Soriano’s out 2-4 weeks with a quad strain. That takes out one of the three quality bats in the lineup. Now, Lee and Ramirez alone can’t make up for the inadequacies at SS, CF, RF, C, and now LF, so they’ll have to hope for a guys like Theriot and Fontenot to keep playing over their heads and hope that Jason Kendall forgets that he hasn’t been good in three years. But yeah, rather than get another quality bat in the lineup, they definitely should go find another random pitcher to throw 2-3 innings a week. That would have made the difference.

Bonds hit 756. You can go back to your homes now.

And I cannot believe what I heard during the game about the guy who ended up with the ball. Apparently, the guy and his friend were on a trip to Australia, and suddenly decided to go to the game on that night while in San Francisco.

Can you believe that? You just suddenly decide to go to the game for no reason in the middle of a trip, and you end up catching that ball. Son of a bitch.

Not only that, but he was also wearing a Mets jersey!:annoy:

Congratulations to the home run king, Barry Bonds.

And five  to Hank Aaron for that video tribute.
