Rival, I haven’t seen you on GGPO lately. I still want you to teach me some 3S.
Some of the guys on ST have been really nice and now I have a decent Ryu. I still work on my Necro on 3S though and I want to play good peeps so I know what I’m doing wrong.
Hm. I may have to start going up there again. Nobody’s showing up at Fairfield Tilt lately anyway.
So do you 3Sers have a regular time? 3S competition is random at SFSU over summer break. Nothing to do there but get my fence painted. : (

Very true. When I didn’t work weekends it was a lot easier to get out to gatherings at Scandia and such.
3S still seems way over my head, but I’ll try and slowly pick it up.

I’m not great at Marvel but I think I’m slowly getting decent at it. Long ago Dan said the reason I never got better was because I kept picking random low tier characters. Now I am running “Team Scrub” and learning all the mechanics of the game.
I played Third Strike last week and it does seem over my head. Though as you mentioned if all of us just got together and played it a bunch, I’m sure we’d learn a lot from each other. All that Charge Partitioning/Buffering etc… is crazy
Jeez, don’t start with charge partitioning. Charge partitioning is pretty advanced. If you really want to play Urien, you’ll probably want to work on mix ups and maneuvering people into the corner. Charge partitions are good to have as they allow for more flexibility and better mid screen unblockables, but you can do other unblockables without charge partitions.
Also, what’s your schedule like? I might as well try to stop by and say hi while you’re at work. And would you accept my friend invite on PSN? Then “Pending response to add as Friend” just haunts me night and day.

Oops :). I turned on my PS3 maybe twice in the last week and a half (mostly to watch movies). Didn’t catch the friend invite.
My schedule is all janked up now. We have a new GM at the store who is training in the mornings, so for some lame reason I work weekends now. Unless it changes back to how it was before, I now only have Monday’s/Fridays’ off.
Usually now I work 6am-3pm Tues/Wed, 10-6pm Thurs, and 3-Midnight Sat/Sun.
It’s too bad he’s BANNED… we could use a good Urien. :-/

not sure about the exact time but dave and I will becoming to scandia to play eachother @ marvel. so if anyone wants to come play tonight we’ll be there.
might be easier to have people learn it if it were cheaper, hard to pay 50 cents on such a fast paced game especially when playing people who have played for a long ass time.
I will really try to get in at least 2 3rd strike matches tonight.
