It cheaper or about the same to buy a joystick vs making your own. I have made the calculations, u would only make your own if u love joysticks not to save money.
$99 Tournament Editions are a great deal. The only way your gunna make a custom stick cost effective is if you dual mod it.
really? well i still would like to learn the electrical portion of it, but mainly i want to customize mine with some sweet graphics and a bat stick, cause i can’t play on those ball-on-a-stick controllers. also, when is the next jam session?

I’m down in Los Angeles for the Holidays. I went to Arcade Infinity and they had the best SFiv setup EVER. 2 arcade machines linked up and well maintained and allot of competition. It is a must visit if you are in the area!
Team Davis made a pit stop there. We were not welcomed with open arms as outsiders kicking regulars off the machines

They’re both ball top sticks, but you can buy bat tops off of Akihabarashop.jp or Lizardlick or something like that. I would recommend trying out the ball top though. I got a tournament edition stick, and it was my first japanese style joystick. After a bit of practice, I can never go back to bat top. The shape of the ball is more efficient for doing motions in any direction, whereas the bat top began to feel like it was getting in the way.

if your set on an american style Happ stick considerAIAB. very well made product. Pricey but nice. My first custom stick (sanwa) and I still love the feel over my TE.
