The 3S:OE update has come

Oh it’s Superted.

LOL, Lance must be starving for attention to save replays, transfer to YouTube, then post a couple select matches he won (with over 2700 miles of cable between us). That was from last night or a couple nights ago, right? I was trying to parry so much in those matches, which wasn’t working out at all due to your silly Alaskan ping. It’s the unfortunate reality of this game over long distances, you should know that after playing this game for two days.

Let’s play a series to 5 or 10 on the real deal machine - you can pick your high tier and I’ll stick with low tier since that’s how you like it. Everything you quoted me on is absolutely true (and is funny how hard you’re going back through various threads trying to prove something to yourself). I’m top 40 Ibuki - not the best, but I’d say proficient. Big difference between that and top 40 Chun or Ken for example. I guess I’ll have to remember to save replays all night haha…so sad…

Damn it Teddy, sent you a friendly PM about playing a set. No response. Weak.

Have you gamertag now. I’ll find you

I don’t think you have any room for excuses with your liberal use of ibuki’s neckbreaker.

the point isn’t to say I beat you. the point is to make you aware of how silly you sound.

if you wanna play offline then meet us all at Hooters at Evo this year.

Ok how is it that I parry akumas divekick (the down + medium kick one) and when I try to grab he fucking does shoryu super right when I grab and beats me out of it??? This never would’ve happened on arcade or ps2 version. I was using alex btw

Funny funland, I’m brand new to the forum. I see the PM now. At least you know where to find me now, though it’s kinda shady to go around posting a couple bad games, which we all have from time to time. I won’t make any excuses because that’s just what the trolls need for sustenance. The leaderboards don’t lie, so look me up.

Stop by in PDX on your way to Vegas. We’ll hit the arcade. I have a job and a wife - I won’t be at EVO.

Caliagent, where do you sit on the leaderboards??

I thought my Hugo was bad.

The footage is there to give the conversation context. The context is that you have a lot to say about how other people play the game but you’re not very good and when you lose you have a list of excuses ready to go (lag/tiers/off day).

There’s nothing wrong with being new and bad. I was exactly where you are two years ago. And we’re all still learning - most of the regulars here still own me whenever we play. But you need to first be aware of how bad you are before you can improve.

It would be nice if you walked away from this being like ‘wow I suck, I need to step up my game and change my attitude.’ But at a minimum you gotta stop posting dumb shit about ‘shoto scrubs’ and lag tactics. Also there’s nothing to brag about with playing low tiers, especially if it’s gonna be a reason why you think you lost.

Everyone struggles with lag btw. I generally play like shit online. It’s not like I was putting on a master class in those two matches. But once you accept a match online you know what you signed up for.

Lance, the difference between you and me is that I don’t need to post a couple of someone’s bad games to make myself feel better. Parrys weren’t working through our connection (which is a must for relatively shit characters like Ibuki and Hugo) so I gave up on that route and fell easily. I should have switched to Dudley or Oro, which I can manage much better through those types of games, but I didn’t. Oh well.

All I started here saying is that shit gets old when you face a string of Kens and shotos all night long doing the same thing - I’m trying to mix it up for my own benefit and for the benefit of others. Everyone has bad games - my shit wasn’t together for these and it’s not an accurate display of my play. Take a couple games out of context for any of us and you’ll see the same.

This is just so dumb man. For further reference, find me on te leaderboards. Everything else here is bullshit.

Lag or not, win or lose, you can tell who knows how to play just by looking at the gameplay. You can lose 50 games straight and it wouldn’t be hard to tell if you know what you’re doing or not.

I was waiting to pass some kind of judgement on you till we played but man… are fucking stupid!? Don’t like to get in on group beat downs but your that kid who gets kicked in the face by three people then stands up and calls them all pussies then stands there with his chest out.

If you have a magical private leaderboard that you’ve compiled using everyone’s win/loss ratio then maybe that would have some truth to it but the current leaderboards online are only indicative of how much someone has sat in rank on a grind. I’ve been between floating between 3rd and 7th best Akuma/Gouki on the leaderboards for over a year and, other than one dude, I beat everyone in that top ten most times I play them.

Do you understand how those leaderboard points are acquired?

When people start bringing in the statistics, all the fun that is suppose to be; well it just isn’t fun anymore.

I’m ranked overall #12 in the PSN rankings, does that make me special??

I jus want to be loved… :frowning:

Who cares about ranked?

SuperTed22!

You’re always special in my book, Lantis.

Duralath has 10,000 more wins than the next guy, or something

That is the PSN difference.

Lance has a thing for humbling the Hugos, perhaps. And if that means less farthest backbreaker SA1, the “Jump In Super/Ultra” of Hugos, then that’s good for everybody.

In short, this game has shotos. They’re pretty fun and different playstyles. Who cares if some scrubs only pick them (& that’s where you have racked up wins), will you ever learn the matchups if you don’t friend up the good ones?

Is this happening with anybody else? Like sometimes my ps3 freezes right after a rank match and gets stuck in the grading screen. I initially thought it was because my opponent rq but it happened twice in a row. Both of them had fairly high pings (380ms) but the match didn’t felt laggy at all it just froze right afterwards. This never happened before the update.

SuperTed came across me once in Ranked when I was responding to someone’s message, sat there for literally the time it takes for ping colors to show up and then quit and sent me a message saying he saw my match against Max (Assist Me guy) and I must be the next ufcgym, then took off. Played me once in a lobby awhile after that, lost pretty handily and now runs every time we come across each other.

If that’s top 40 Ibuki behavior then I know the leaderboards are shit (which I know anyway).
