yeah that tends to happen when the entirety of SRK (except the 15 people who post here currently) on srk go out of their way to hate 3S.
I wish that was a joke.

Total noob, any advice/criticism appreciated. Also yeah I know I lucked out hugo-ly with those random cr.rh
i have no specific advice because i dont play hugo (although i know his shit).
if you are pretty new, which it looks like you are, something you should think about while playing is just waiting. just wait. let the other guy expose himself and then capitalize. i think thats one of the first things as a newer 3S player that makes a noticeable difference in how you play the game. not to say you didnt wait and block at all. but try being very passive for a while. let the other guy take chances.
cool avatar btw. dota2 is probably good. dota was a fun game.
Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind when I go over to my friend’s house to train tomorrow. Also yeah Dota 2 is sweet, I’m in the beta and it’ll be awesome when it’s released.
Blablabla, random useless comment from someone unaware of previous discussions…
yo esn i was just uploading the replay of me killin the noob cuz i thought it was fun. I wasnt looking for someone to say something like “wooow your the best” loll. Everyone here says play against better guys here… im guessing that most of the people that says that are still playing on ggpo, so they can choose the opponent. Now i play only on 3SOE i play ranked matches and player matches. When theres no one to play with on player match i play ranked matches and theres is no possible way to choose your opponent. I play everyone who is at least orange ping. Yes i upload some vids of me owning noobs sometimes cuz i think its funny thats it. i even started a thread to find some good 3soe players here… 1 out of 2 replies is now on my friends list lol I thought this thread was for ANY 3s replays… seems like you need to get SS++ rank and higher to upload
Fair enough. But, it’s fun the first time, then it becomes pure ego masturbation.
For the OE thing, i doubt you can’t play anyone better than you or guys shown in your vids.
Yes, any replay is allowed, and any comment is also allowed, so don’t get upset to get comments like those each time you upload the same kind of match, ie. brainless moves against a not blocking dummy ended by a tkd or whatever flashy.
LOLLL “ego masturbation”
yeah ok. next time i get some good challenge ill upload it. It just sucks that theres way too much players that wont block enough or get messedup with simple stuff… i would like to play better people to work on confirms and to get better at mixups…
Mess around on ranked and each time someone seems decent, create an 8 private slots room and invite him.
It works pretty fine when i was on PSN.
how come you dont play on psn anymore?
I bought a used xbox. I will never play OE again on psn.
To make a comparison, my best match experience on psn after ~6 months is worse than my worst experience on xbl so far. Really.
Don’t you think you’re exaggerating? Both versions use the same peer to peer netcode, the only difference being that the PS3 has wireless internet as standard and a lot of idiots seem to think playing online on a wireless connection is actually a good idea. That’s the only difference; the rest is placebo.
I’m not and it makes me sad as i prefer ps3 over xbox. Though it’s a quite recent change and it may become similarly crappy after a while (i doubt it).
I don’t think all the PSN network issues are due to wireless. A lot of guys on my FL are wired (i also am obviously) and even in the same town, it’s barely playable more than a few matches if you want to be a little serious.
Both network infrastructures are probably completely different and one seems clearly better than the other.
maybe the isp??
And now it works fine on xbl? Is this magic?
ahaha im just saying… all my games with yellow ping and higher are good. i can parry everything with no problem…

First video I’m posting… IMO this match is extremely epic if not full of technical skill (I think chaitea007 lives in Europe, I only play him when I should have been in bed hours before)…
Also, I did a ft10 with JR Rodriguez a week or so ago, and he told me just now that he’s uploading the set, so I’ll link to that when it’s up

i was expecting either a wakeup demon or kkz in the 2nd round. If it’s critique you’re looking for I’d say a tactic like that is fairly predictable to someone playing online. Your tatsu usage has it’s risks so be careful about doing things outside of combos. And I’m guessing you noticed how you got parried so maybe don’t do consecutive lows/low parry-able moves against such players willing to guess. Also, had that SA2 been spaced a tad closer/later you’d be toast.
Actually I wasn’t really looking for a critique and just posted it because I thought it was a highly entertaining game to watch, but I don’t mind critique, at least not yours
I will post some less ridiculous, less played-at-4-AM matches sometime. I’ve uploaded I think a total of four videos to YouTube, mostly chosen for entertainment value.
Oh btw RaishinX, we should play sometime. I was playing this guy LUMINA FS in SF4 - really sick Ryu - and I believe he said y’all are friends?
Edit - I might as well respond to your critiques… 1. you’re right about KKZ, of course 2. I’ve gotten a lot better about hit confirming tatsu since then, even in the last couple of weeks to be honest (as well as using SA1/hit confirming in general… although I’m sure some people I play who post here would beg to differ that I show any restraint lol), but I still have a ways to go. 3. good point on the high/low… that was a pretty nice parry by him. 4. I didn’t actually know that Chun’s super doesn’t have full fireball invincibility, so I was pretty shocked by that turn of events… hah
