i only play SA1 with makoto on certain matchups (ibuki, oro, chun, makoto)
once you get the 100% stun down you can win matches by just landing a karakusa, and the extra meter is always welcome.
so i wouldn’t say one SA is better than the other, it just really depends on the matchup.
mimora plays SA1 in most matchups, prolly just for fun.
JR makes up for his lack of SA1 hitconfirms with heaping amounts of hk tatsu and surprise KKZs.
Don’t hate though Chad, he has his particular style and he’s been making it work for years.
Since playing his gouki mine has gone through an upgrade. I swear to god my gouki seems like its on steroids now.
k so makoto is kinda hard and now im playing some remy … LOL

im not exactly sure what made you think remy would be easier to use properly than makoto.
try to just forget you have a sweep as it’s really suicidal as remy. i fucking love sweeps but i (thankfully) play people that punish me for being an idiot with them.
also throw out limbs that aren’t on the same trajectory as your lovs. sometimes do, sometimes dont. if you’re up close and the opponent is not cornered you’re in a bad position. you want to be a in a spot where you can react to jumps in time but where they will have to parry very early to deal with your AA. remember that cr.lp is your x2 confirm attack for supers/flash kick, remy can’t chain cr.lk.
if you are up close, cr.short -> lov is a relatively safe way to create space. or cr.lp xx lov maybe. a lot of this is just knowing the game more. need to use dash a lot more too as a response to jumps. remy has an excellent dash and good walk speed. you have a ton of ways to safely push and advance on someone. think proactive defense.

That was so stolen. haha
All Japanese Makoto’s pick SA1 against the twins, so that was a good choice. I think you need to time your attacks better when you knock the opponent down. There were a few miss timed attacks that ended up whiffing, so the yang, who never blocked, was able to mash out a combo after the whiff. If you were able to get the attack in, you would be able to pressure more, and a makoto that is pressuring is scary.
Yang is also good at pressuring opponents once he knocks them down. Sometimes you just need to block and try to read what the opponent is doing. The Yang never grabbed you and always attacked, so blocking would be safe. Be patient, try to read, jump attack on the many dive kicks this guy was doing and then move in to pressure from there.
Hope this helps, and good luck-
Can anybody give me general tips on my gameplay through my replays? Just look up lesbianXhottie on yt and you’ll find all my stuff, I’m not THAT good at the game in general but I can parry shit like it’s nothing. I know my mixup game is kinda weak, I got spoiled by all the online players who don’t block or parry anything. Here’s a few of my parry replays, the general gameplay is if you wanna look for it.
Sean SA2 full parry
Red parry the second half of Chun’s SA2, kinda embarrassed about fucking up the midscreen unblockable though
FULL Parry chun’s SA2, I played like total shit in this match though.
play better people.
play better people? this is 3rd strike online. everybody is bad
not true. you just have to already know who can actually play.
i dont know about ranked, but there are some decent people in player lobbies. find people who are better than you or at least know how to play the game and add them to your friends list.
SnakeEyes13: parrying supers isnt very impressive if you dont punish afterwards correctly.
against sean it wouldve made sense to stay on the left side of him, then palm or close mk to keep him juggled into the corner.
as urien you couldve neutral jumped and air parried the last hit of houyoku to get a jump in combo. OR you couldve just neutral jumped right after the last hit of the 2nd set, which puts you right behind chun when you land so you couldve taken her to the corner for aegis mix up.
i filmed some punishes as yun since i was curious myself what would be good.
not sure what the best would be but here are some

meter:

i didnt film it but another good punish to gain meter/damage and push them into the corner if youre midscreen without genei jin is fierce shoulder into fierce dashpunch after the last parry.
…man, that’s a lot of damage for a launcher SJC Geneijin. haha

just mix up a bit more your patterns with lov. its easy to fall into something that seems safe and feels good but doing low strong x2 and high lov over and over is going to end badly.
also i dont know if you can charge partition well or what but doing a short lov and then dash followed by a fierce lov is a useful way of gaining ground quickly and push someone towards the corner. they dont need to be those specific buttons and actually you should be changing that combination of lovs up constantly, but for pushing someone it’s useful to do short lov dash fierce lov.
watch out on low strong and standing far strong also. low strong is parry h+l and not super fast or anything. i’d suggest mostly using it for punish situations where you can’t hit with cr.fierce due to range. low strong is your furthest range cancellable normal just keep that in mind. standing strong is an awesome move but it has a big hittable box that lasts a good while after its hitbox is gone. similar to standing forward in that way. i’d personally try to condition yourself to cut back on using either, save them for when you corner someone and they want to jump out.
remember remy has an excellent dash. once you learn the spacing on it its extremely good for dashing under someone jumping in.
Hey guys. I just uploaded some of my matches. Take a look and if possible, feel free to make some suggestions. Thanks.
