Damn the sprites in this game are just insane. Really shows things that pixel art can do that vector art cannot. Anyway judging from the character select screen there seems to be 21 characters in this game.

Ralf looks kinda…odd. Maybe because I am not used to the new art yet.

The middle box is random select. I suspect that will stay. There should be at least one unplayable boss, probably two. Dunno about hidden characters though. The small cast (for KoF) is pretty much what I expected, given the rate that they’re going at. Unless they’re hiding a near complete version, I’d be very surprised if the arcade version was finished before the end of the year.
Also, note that the art has been traced over from 3D models, so I’m not sure if this is truly an example of something that “pixel art can do that vector art cannot”. 
Pllllllllllllllllease fucking GOD let Kula and / or Hinako be in this game.

If there’s a KOFXIII that more than likely will be the dream match in which a lot of characters hopefully will return.
I’m not to worried about the size of the cast. Gimme K’ and Oz and a great balanced game and I’m set.
The character sprites are ugly as shit. I hate Nona and Falcoon.

Looks fantastic. This is one of the few games out there where a screenshot looks like it is in motion! I’m also glad they have the balls to give their game a real facelift. Fuck, if i looked the same now as i did in the 90’s i would shoot myself

You know, I remember saying back when I first saw Odin Sphere. “I prey to God that SFIV looks like this” and it turns out it seems KOFXII has answered my prayers. I’m not in the least bit disappointed though. I’m just happy to see what looks to me as the best usage of sprites ever placed into a fighting game. Lord knows Odin Sphere was trash. God it was beautiful though.

Leona looks AMAZING. Ralf is buff as hell but it makes sense I guess. The rest look all good, but I’ll be kinda dissapointed if those are all the characters we are going to get.
