Why would anyone bother using a super after CC when the damage is pitiful compared to the CC combos they were doing? But I guess there were at optimum conditions so maybe you can only get off 3 hits or so normally.
So CC = instant charge moves and unlimited juggles? Cue everyone looking for the best launchers then!
i was super excited for this game, thought all the DM/system stuff was a work in progress, really fine with the roster, style…
then they took out elizabeth so I no longer have a team (what the shit), didn’t fix clashing (anti-airs not working is the worst idea ever), and added CLARK and DAIMON (fuck stale ass grapplers; Clark is even MORE STALE BECAUSE HE’S JUST RALF WITH THROWS NOW)
holy fuck i’m pissed… Robert and Ash look awesome as always, and Kensou looks pretty sweet, that’s about it.
I await the inevitable sequel that will (HOPEFULLY) have good mechanics

I love the fact that SNK is actually using the new bigger Sprite size to make characters different, not only in style but in proportions too. Big, small, short, fat, Muscular, slender, it looks there’s a fighter for everybody, and that’s what KoF is about.

Because its NOTHING like alpha 2, AT ALL. Where is the risk, you ask? How about the fact that to start one of these, you need to clash a HARD attack with a SPECIAL MOVE at close range. You really dont see the risk in that?
The risk is getting hit by a special, which may do like 10% damage and perhaps a knockdown, and the reward is doing half a bar of damage. Plus, with the way the system is right now, even if the parry misses, there’s the attack part which may clash with the special, reducing the risk even more. All this with no meter costs except if you do a super, which does way less damage than the custom combo so it really doesn’t matter.
So yeah, how is this not retarded and a desirable change?
add to that there’s almost NO reason to use fireballs now at all because you can just clash with them, and if you guess wrong, you eat CRITICAL COMBOOOOO
and so the thread decends into a sea of speculation about a system feature which no one has even tried themselves or seen in actual competitive play since the game isnt even out or finished.
Not even surprised at this latest turn of events. I guess until the end of time people will bitch at something in a game they havent even played yet and use theory fighter to justify their point of view
Leebee Link: you really honestly believe that fireballs have no use anymore… Im sure in another universe where someone clashes 100 percent of the time with an opponent who always throws fireballs in range of their opponents fierce attacks maybe:confused: but yeah…WHO KNOWS maybe this will happen when the game comes out since everyone who will be playing this game has 100 percent perfect execution and mind reading skills…
And to compare this to A2 makes no sense at all. In addition even alluding to the fact that its “the closest thing to the A2” is nothing more than trying to instill fear in people because of the negativity the A2 CC system attracts. Not saying A2 is a perfect game but stop comparing it something which none of you even tried for yourself or seen in a competitive atmosphere just for the sake of comparing.
Hey I can move forward and combo anything into anything after counterhitting/clashing my opponents special move at close range for about 15-20 percent health maybe i can get more damage in the corner!", Damn this must be broken as the A2 CC system because I can move forward and combo anything! Even though I have to be close enough to my opponent and I have to hit Strong Punch or Strong Kick at the exact moment my opponent does his special move, guess I’m going to have to spam those 2 buttons when I’m in close and hope he does a random special move everytime!
