The 2nd KOFXII Thread (debuting at AM Show in September)

It is possible that they could be add extra characters to the console release and then update the arcade version to suit ala SF4. I don’t see it happening any other way.

Aww, come on…when have custom combos ever done anyone any harm?

What I’m wondering is why anyone would cancel a critical counter into a DM when custom combos appear to do a LOT more damage - that Ryo combo, for instance.

A2 CCs, Genei Jin, A-groove, V-ism, Duolons XI LDM…ask any player who has been slaughtered by any of those and youll see

This game looks amazing and Kensou’s in it. I hope for an american 360 release (as it’s the only system I have a stick for). Kensou looks so serious. It’s like watching Dan suddenly “drop the act.” :rofl:

I haven’t seriously played a KOF game… ever. How does KOF 12 play? Compare it to Capcom fighters if any are applicable. Thanks in advance for any responses.

As for KOF, generally you don’t compare it to SF at all. Entirely different beast.

i was hoping yamazaki would be in this game, though i knew there was a very small chance for it. i took the super pause for granted, which i shouldnt have done. snkp, you can keep yamazaki, just give me my super pause back. you guys see clarck, the fucking real man of steel (still), doing his super throw against ash (the female looking bitch) after ash fucked up. ash actually grabs clarck out of it with his command throw. wtf? anybody else remember the classic Super Throw > Command Throw > Normal Throw? wtf happened to it.

They really don’t play much alike at all, so there isn’t much comparison.

BUt moreover, KoFXII looks to be quite different to even its predecessors. Unless they make some radical alterations, KoFXII might be its own entity. Whether that’s good or bad remains to be seen, but there are some questionable properties in there right now (endless clashes and that new Critical Counter CC-like system). SO you’re going to have to wait and see I’m afraid.

Yeah I was wondering that too actually… Looks like the DM did like 10% or something? Shit damage… Maybe to just finish off the opponent at the end w/o the worry of dropping a custom combo.

I think that was just to show that the DM’s come out much faster.

In other words, you could do a Critical Counter combo and then end with a DM for more damage prolly

Please stop bitching about Custom Combos…deal with it. Either learn them and just fight as best as you can get around it. I’m so tired of people whining about them like in EVERY situation there’s nothing you can do (sans Alpha 3:rofl:).
