The 2nd KOFXII Thread (debuting at AM Show in September)

Kinda. But most people omit the first cr.lk because it can push Kyo a bit back so both hits of df+D(SK) won’t connect.

But does it fully combo in KOFXII? Can’t tell. There isn’t a combo counter.

That and for some reason the players aren’t too good at blocking.

I’m correcting a misunderstanding and briefly explaining my opinion. If my responses seem childish, it’s because I’m arguing with grown men/women/both throwing temper tantrum over opinions, dude.

Yeah that’s a typical normal into command normal KOF chain, and it’s a classic Kyo BnB.

I’ve noticed that Robert can cancel cr.D into standing C or something like that in one of these vids, I think that one is new.

i think SNK is making the players not play to their full capabilities

2nd trailer up. From CX.

Goro, Elisabeth, Iori and Raiden are already confirmed. Trieu from s-c.com said that Andy and Billy from Rage of the Dragons would be in too, and so far he’s been right about his info so there’s a big chance these two are in too.

As for the rest, Mai should be in unless SNKP is retarded (the Mai cosplayer at the event could be taken as a hint perhaps), and I’d say another Ikari warrior (Clark or Whip probably) and someone else (new character, perhaps?).

Thanks for the post, bro! I noticed that Robert’s super no longer causes that trademark SNK “gliding” effect. That always bothered me: why did they always seem to walk forward with auto-combo supers even though they weren’t actually walking? They just sort of reverse-Moon Walked. lol

That’s badass that Raiden will be in it again. I thought that was him on the poster – you can kind of see the back of a wrestling mask.

Awesome!

Excuse the noobness but is this the first time Kyo has had his '94 moveset since the '98 EX version? Either way, being able to juggle his DP after upkicks looks real fun!

I can’t wait to sink my teeth into this game - no strikers, no tag, just a simple system for me to get my head round!

I never played Raiden outside of Cvs2.

Does he have some moves in Kof or FF that weren’t in his Cvs2 incarnation?

Also, does this game’s combo system follow the old KOF formula?

Ex. Normal-Command Normal-Special/Super

No. There’s been two Kyo’s here and there. 99/2002/03. It wasn’t until KOF XI that the second Kyo had a different moves set from his OG version(Nests Kyo).

anybody else interested in the apparent lack of super flash? combined with slower speed of supers how will that affect the game, jeez. I just hope 90% of supers become not viable at high level because of this.

not saying its bad its just interesting.
also it looked to me like there’s a throw button though it could have just been whiffed command grabs.

I think the last time was in 2k3, he was called “Kusanagi” in that game.

I’ve noticed that Kim can follow up with a divekick after the last hit of his rekka.

There’s no super flash for the same reason that there’s no meter or combo counter; they weren’t finished yet.

Throws are A+C now.

You make it seem it’s as if people can’t combo into DMs anymore. No super flash/super freeze doesn’t mean much. It’s not as if people just throw out DMs left and right in high level play.

It has some start up though before it launches.

Yes, thought most people think they are links, because the older kofs had slower timing. In kofxii there’s like no hitstop, so you just do everything fullspeed. It’s like 2k2 timing but even more extreme. The cr.B to cr.A is a normal chain, then d/f+D is a command normal, which are cancelable from most cancelable moves, in this situation his cr.A. It never knocked down until now, though.

Also, I think tha Robert chaining into his close C is actually some kind of command normal, like the Terry players doing cr.D into d/f+C.

That is why the new Garou style ch spin stun is there. You can see in the trailer that things like Terry ch cr.C xx power geyser can combo. We’ll have to see what kind of situations allow for a ch, other than just interrupting something. It might be like Tenka where when you hit certain things in recovery, it becomes a counter-hit.

Andy? So there are already 4 Garou chars for 3 member teams…
Billy also sounds strange, I think SNK doesn’t even have a license for ROTD, am I right? Don’t you mean Billy Kane?

Dunno, sounds strange, I just can’t beleive it.

Billy from Double Dragon has been said to be in for awhile.

Billy? Certainly there are better characters than that. Such as Lynn, Elias, Johann, Penis, Sonia, Pepe, Pupa, Radel, and Alice.

Duolon, Duolon and Duolon. please…

Oh and about the video, well, Shen has oficially his Bakuten (powerup move) again and His tatsu geki ken too. good.

It seems as if you take chip damage during a clash. I noticed Ryo getting KOed from a clash in one video.

Lol, wait, what? This sounds really similar to saving attacks from SF4.
