hey i saw iori do his dm a few times now but everyone always uses it in combos… i was wondering have anyone seen him do it as anti-air? i’m pretty sure his dm will still duck under athena’s psycho ball n stuff… but i hope they give his dm the same anti-air property as '97 orochi iori’s dm… that shit was t3h invisible wall of doom …for anyone who doesn’t know what this is …it’s like if ur opponent is in the air about atleast one to two character space or so away and iori does his dm he creates an invisible wall infront of him and no matter what u do u can’t get past him… of course athena can dm in mid air to beat this but i’ve had people that would cross me up on a jump in so many times and i do iori’s dm and see them coming straight down doing their attack animation and i just go through it and they EAT!!! lol…
also talking about cross ups n stuff i haven’t seen iori do his cross up kick yet… does he not have it anymore?
I saw Iori’s super get stopped cold by a Clark crouch C (super flash happened when the attack was on him). Maybe it still has invulnerability above his head, but it sure doesn’t anywhere near the bottom half. And he doesn’t have his command cross up.
But yea maybe they can add stuff like that and Kyo j.d+C for console.
oh btw i have some critical news from japanese bbs:
That and they bit off more than they could chew. Realizing to late that they would not have the time, considering how long it takes to make one individual character.
Rock has never been in any KOF game, so that explains why. It would be cool, but doubtful.
And the debate on whose in, whose not in , will last until the game is out or until all the console characters are revealed. Even then for 2-3 more weeks it’ll continue until people start playing and worry about other issues.
I have to say, I’m mainly a SF/Marvel/SC fan, but this game just looks so friggin’ beautiful I’m gonna have to get it. It’s been a while since I played a true SNK fighting game.
Garou 2 has always been in the works.
It was supposed to be released in 2000, the year after just like Last Blade 2 came right after Last Blade (they were made by the same SNK teams).
But we all know what happened after KOF 2000, right?
Funnily enough, KOF MI was originally supposed to be a 3-D continuation of Fatal Fury until it got twisted into…what Falcoon twisted it into.
Falcoon said KOF MI was supposed to be a trilogy, and then the next game would be a FF sequel.
But with Falcoon gone now, it doesn’t even look like the MI series will get completed now.
I imagine if KOF XII hits it big all of the staff would have to work on the next one. They’re simply not big enough anymore to handle work on KOF and FF at the same time.
Look at SamSho…they passed that series off to Yuki/Examu for 5–Tenka and then SS Sen off to the guys who made Tenchu without a second thought. So technically they themselves haven’t worked on that series since 1999 which is quite sad.
