Well I hope it’s not about timing and they made it impossible to clash AAs with air normals, I think the game will not be very good if they leave that in.
Remy is awesome in Third Strike, there’s just not many good Remy’s out there, and he is indeed rare at the arcades. He needs more stamina, and he would be a lot better. I, myself, am a Remy player so I feel special.
I do understand by me saying that is kinda hypocritical…but it has to be said…
As Hatred Edge said…no one cares about the fanboy stuff…no one cares about who is gay and who isn’t…this is all fanboy stuff that only fanboys care about…real players don’t give a damn about this stuff…real players care about real stuff like
“How does XYZ play NOT LOOK” and other things…not all the nonsense I have to suffer reading through in not only this forum but others in KOFXII threads…KOFXII threads have become the plague until updates come out…and people regurgitate the same info from forum to forum…so if you’ve seen it once you’ve seen it all…
Well if you really want to stop that stuff, why don’t you start some technical discussion or give your opinion on how the game is shaping up and how you feel it could be improved?
your right about the seen it once seen it all. but a fighting game is about the complete package. gameplay, interresting characters, great visuals and sound and all that basically. rbs might still have been fun had it looked like melty blood (with its characters) and animated like ff1, but as good as it is today? nah.
I personally think the game is shaping up well, but due to the fact that it is not finished I am not putting too much thought into it. You’ll see me putting more thought into KOFXII once the final version is finished, until then mostly whatever I am saying and others is mostly hearsay. I will say this much from what I have observed:
Ash looks top tier. Easy damage for little to no effort. The okizeme game revolving around his trapping fireballs is good for trapping and I can see it being used for wakeup crossup games such as:
Knock opponent down, or kd them with an attack that they cannot tech then do the fbs, one on their back so they wakeup and have to block it backturned/crossup block…
From there you could roll and cross them up or jump and cross them up or watch how your opponent blocks it (if he blocks it high or low) and then attacking low or high depending. I could EASILY see unblockables come out of Ash’s fb traps… (For example one I thought of already that could work, do what I told you, activate Genei Ash upon opponent waking up if you plant one fb right on the opponent so they HAVE TO BLOCK IT as they get up…the Super is UNBLOCKABLE.)
I also found it ironic how Duo Lon is starting to resemble a 2d Jivatma in KOFXII as well. His style until we know what his complete movelist is (final version) resembles more poking and running away for now and I wonder if they are going to give him his palm combo (qcf+a, f+b, hcb+c).
Duo Lon still looks top tier(looks like the fastest character in the game) and looks as if he can play from close or afar. What I have been wondering since I did not see those players do it is if you can still otg with Duo Lon’s dp+k attack (he still has it I see) after a throw in this game. (Also does he even have a command grab or will they give him one? Will he have a regular fireball to replace his fb super?)
I also wonder with Duo Lon assuming he gets his “powerup” super, if you can still combo activation off his st.Cxxdf+d in the corner (looks as if he retains his df+d I saw it in one of the vids)
Also Athenas booty bump attack does not look as useful as it is in the earlier games guys. I saw someone (Luigi) comment on that and I beg to differ. Sure it’s used more but it seems to have less priority than it did in the older games. I saw it get jabbed out in the match vids…
These are just some of my thoughts for now…Psycho Soldier Kensou seems to have potential…but it remains to be seen as the play with him is very sloppy and too risky.
-Joe may be top tier…he seems to have the right tools to compete in this game (good zoning, right amount or priority)
-Chin seems low tier for now.
I anticipate more changes…more moves, more polish, beefing up some priorities on attacks and toning down anything that looks to powerful (which nothing does right now…though Joe looks really good he surely isn’t unbeatable…no one in the game looks unbeatable right now)
The speed helps the game…when it was too slow it looked like SNK’s version of CVS2 and I had issues with that… now it actually looks like KOF…and KOF…is about speed… (its about other things as well but speed is a must in KOF)
I haven’t gotten my hands on it yet to confirm, but I get to talk to sugarboy (who actually is at these beta tests) and other people I won’t name yet that give me the scoop in regards to how the game plays, its feel and other things…
PS3 are zone free??? Meaning I can import games without modding? Hm, I might need to invest in one… oh, and sorry for this noob post but anything ps3 i really haven’t cared about for a long time…
yeah, Battle Fantasia just came out in Europe, so you can get that and be able to read it…I have no idea why it was put on the 360 in america when it was a PS3 game in Japan…
dunno what snk was thinking when they didn’t include characters such as K’ into the roaster?
and why no story and no boss? they should had ended Ash’s story in XII then have a dream match… just like usual
More characters need to be put into the roaster, this is true (please, lets not go back over this. DG was absolutely right, read the original discussions on this matter a few pages back if you must).
