The 2nd KOFXII Thread (debuting at AM Show in September)

That one’s not too difficult once you know the trick to it (pretty much just involves tapping back and forth rapidly; he eventually hops backward and does it).

Yeah, but on the “date” the (female) protagonist can go on with him…all he does is paint her nails.

That makes him even more fucking gay than if he shoved his tongue down Iori’s throat.

Ash is clearly a mockery of Remy, but then again Japan does like their tranny men in games.

you do know that in KoF 1995, Iori’s first appearance, he pretty much WAS a clone of Kyo…

That’s an air move. It works like that because he’s in the air when he hops back. It’s much better to just jump and do it. It’s a bit more useful when it’s not obvious your trying to do cause you look like a junkie that needs his fix.

In my dreams.

Let’s just agree to disagree on the issue of K being a good character or not, it’s nothing to start a war over

Haha, that’s hilarious! See, this is why I think Ash is a funny character.

At the turn this thread has taken…

It is better than Iori in drag at least, actually it isn’t. =/.

On topic, I re-watched those vids put up a bit ago. Great stuff and I am really considering just trying a whole new team of characters I never gave a second thought to before. Partially because my old stand bys are not in and partly because most everyone looks appealing in their own way.

That doesn’t answer what I want to know, though. I want to know if it’s possible at all to clash AAs and air normals. I’ve seen several ground clashes in the latest loketest, but no AA vs air normals yet.

Perhaps the players didn’t time their attacks well enough to make them clash with AAs, or (I hope this is what’s happening) they removed AA vs air attack clashes.

Can we keep talking about K9999? No homo but I love that character

Actually, full homo I don’t care

But…the sad thing is most KOFXII threads are like this in other forums too……that’s what’s worse…very little substance…mostly talk about “who wants to see what and other things like who looks cool etc”…

Another reason I try not to get too intertwined until the final release of the game…

Conversations tend to turn fanboyish or get way off topic…

And I’d rather stick to the facts about the game…

Clashing should be ground attack vs ground attack only I think. If you’re in the air, no clash (except maybe a command normal that takes you off the ground such as Andy fwd+B if he has that in this)

A new post has been made on the official KOFXII site:

http://game.snkplaymore.co.jp/official/kof-xii/message/entry04.html

At the bottom it says that there will be some kind of KOFXII exibit at the AOU 2009 Amusement Expo. Maybe another location test?

Possibly…I am sure sugarboy will give us the details at Cx.com:wink:

When is XII suppose to hit consoles? I know IGN reported that XII will come out in NA in late 09 (most likely winter)

Not if he’s making better use of that archtype, right?

Ash is considered tops or near tops in a couple games.

Feel so lucky if you see a Remy played in the arcade.

And I can’t get on character development since Remy was only in 1 game but just look at Ash overall in his appearances. Never fails to disappoint gameplay-wise/story-wise.

Last I heard console release was May 09.

I’m guessing that those in the US not into importing will see the game sometime in 2010 on the PS3 and hopefully the 360. SNK usually gives their games at least a month or three in the arcade before dropping the consoles in the Japan and longer for the US if things go as they usually do…

360 and PS3 ports of KOFXII, as well as I believe a PC port, were announced.

Date was listed as May of this year, but I never believed that part of it.

Not many do, especially now.

My main reason for owning a PS3 is for the region free so I can import.
