Damn. Genesis Carta did go up for some games. I’ll probably end up buying them anyways. I had a collection before, a little les than 15 years ago now, that I got rid of. I know I’ll be dropping coin for them but whatever. At least it’ll be for games I know I’ll still play, so while instead of games I had just to have.
I’ll do the Sega Saturn in japanese though, since it’s way cheaper, unless I come into some balling outrageous money.
I found out about this pretty late but I have been following the updates for the longest. If you’re like me and don’t wanna invest in a scart set up for your sega genesis and snes, it looks like component cables for both of these consoles will be a real thing soon.
Anybody ever play one of the Farland games? I think it was East Asia only but it was a fun Strategy RPG. The only thing I hated was that EXP was only distributed based on who attacked as opposed to evenly dividing out points at the end of the battle.
I think not just 16-bit but RETRO in general deserves a separate thread vs the video games GD. If I hop on there and be like “Man I’m running through Earthbound again, such a great game” I’ll probably get one like and then everyone will start talking about The Division again. I’m big in to collecting retro game and systems so I think this is a good idea. Just change to all things retro and not limit to just 16 bit cause then you’ll see someone make a 8-bit, handheld, etc.
That game fucking rocks my cock. You have no idea how bitter I am about the fact that it’s not on pc or ps4. I’m not in possesion of a ps3 so I have no way of playing the damn game anymore
I will never understand why nerds dislike the greatest hits versions of PS1 games. They fix any bugs or glitches present in the black label and they are technically rarer since they are reprints of games that sold at least a million copies.
There are a surprisingly large amount of retro games floating around. Only a few games are truly rare. Most are just priced astronomically high because idiots keep throwing second hand sellers whatever they ask.
There’s always Sectet of Mana & Seiken Densetsu 3, Robotrek, and Secret of Evermore. I don’t think you can go wrong there. But with Seiken Densetsu 3 you’ll need to get that fan translation patch since it’s a JP only release.
