RX is King Urien. Nobody comes close to him. Not ushi, not kuroda unless they’re able to wreck the strongest players in the strongest tourneys with Urien. Something only RX has done over the past 10 years.
Ushi is underrated because of where he lives and there’s less footage of him, there was a player tier list made recently made by a Japanese player (Konitan i think?) and he ranked Ushi above RX, i guess he would know better than we do so…
It’s just one personal opinion by one player. It’s the most common logical fallacy to take one opinion and reflect upon a whole. A lot of those top players contradict each other anyway. You have no real system laid out with all the best players ranking everybody. Only bits here and there.
The result is where it matters most. And RX proving it defeating all the top tiers in big disadvantage matchups. It’s the most impressive display of skill behind Kuroda Q’s in SBO 09 and Vanaos 2009 Coop performance.

Made by Ikeyama, i showed this list to players who’ve played in Japan and they say it looks about right, obviously there’s strong players missing and it’s mostly debatable but i think S and A+ players are rarely disputed from what i’ve seen when other top players have been asked about who is strongest

RX was without a doubt a legendary player in the past decade with his sick aegis setups and fancy combos
the thing is,at least in the west,nobody ever mentions tokido or onanism (they invented “modern day” urien)
and nobody ever mentions pierre or senaka ; that’s quite unfair if you ask me
personally,i have always preferred pierre’s approach to urien but i won’t deny that RX was a beast up until 2007-2008 or so
i guess that right around that time he kinda stopped playing regularly and he hasn’t performed as well in the last couple years
true,he did an amazing job @ CC 2013 but you can’t only consider a single (team) tournament or a single match
but,unfortunately,that’s what most people tend to do
i do believe ushi had the potential to be “the new rx” or to become even better so it’s definitely a shame that he’s focusing on yun now
and i am actually surprised no one contested my “best 5 necros in the world” [“you forgot yakkun !”]
ikeyama is the nicest person in the kanto area but can’t say i agree with his list

But yeah keeping on topic, BM Jirou look a bit stronger this year with 2 mid tier characters!
2 yuns that i think have trandscended “just another good yun” are saru and sho
also if we’re remembering tokido urien, do we all remember momochi yun?
BM Jirou is the team to root for I guess. Didn’t Pierre use to play with them ? Ruu is the most weird, yet conventional at the same time, Ryu ever. He practically builds meter, plays it safe and throws shakunetsus all day. The yin to Vanao’s yang. I kinda enjoy watching him play nevertheless.
I don’t think Pierre came close to the title of best Urien. I’ve seen him mess his charges a lot of times and his play style may be solid and safe but not what I’d call outstanding and unpredictable, especially compared to RX and Ushi. Tokido and Onanism were for Urien what J was for Makoto, never forget.
Tominaga’s team is also interesting.

By the way Fran enough older people over here know and respect Pierre. Usually goes like “RX is such a monster! Best ever!!” Then someone else says “I don’t know, Pierre has better fundamentals…”
Pierre was excellent altho I’ve noticed he messed up quite a bit when it came to execution while RX is known for his awesome charge partitioning and other execution stuff. I think ushi wouldve been on RX’s level and maybe he was already but sadly we never got to see him that much with urien…the best of luck to his new Yun endeavours anyway. Saru on the other hand is amazing at execution but he seems to be obsessed with activating off 123 or sjc and getting karapalm combos while running the risk of dropping his GJ combos… love the flashy style but don’t think it’s the most efficient way to play yun.
Super awesome to see BM Jirou back once again as that team always seems to have some of the most exciting matches in the tournament. Let’s hope TM and YSB activate beastmode like they have in the past and plow through the competition and make it to the finals to face K.O family. That would be an awesome final imho. Also hoping that kuroda shows up in the pre-coop tournament… maybe he could be the captain of the Oro5 
Well just name one other player who has defeated Nuki’s Chun with a versatile of low tiers and weak chars. Q, Oro, and Ryu just to name a few.!
Kuroda in 2009 is still stronger than any player today.

Teams look awesome, the event is going to be great. How are we going to watch it? Do we know how it’ll be streamed yet? I don’t think I watched any stream last time, just watched the videos afterwards.
