Great tourney big props to the organizers for this event, specially for running the SNK tourneys event with the small turnout. The point of the quotes, I’m sure you can comprehend. My over all point is, that nothing is impossible reguardless of the circumstances; just Improbable. There is a difference between respect for japanese players, and just being fan groupies because your scared to fight back. I don’t mean that to insult anyone here who is a fan of some Japanese players. From what I have experienced with Japanese players in my time here in SRK has shown me one thing. They are fierce competitors, but that is about it. They are not invincible and they are very beatable. Even at T5, none of their CVS2 games were free. They were well fought for and they had to earn it. Nestor took two games convincingly from two Japanese players.
Over all, just take a look at Justin, the defining reason why he is the best in Marvel is because he intimidates his players before you even play the game. However Sanford is not intimidated…well I don’t know what to make of T5 Marvel finals but he isn’t scared anymore, and that is why he can fight agaisnt him. But hey that is my opinion on the matter. I’m done here… “Build the new burn down the old.”

TS5 was the shit! Best tournament I ever been to and funnest! I dont ever remember me actually ENJOYING a tournament like this past weekend. Some random highlights I can remember:
Thursday
-Playing Free play at the Gate all night for ONLY a $5 entry!
Too Good!
-Watching Sanford vs Buktooth Money match in CVS2! I forgot the score but I think Sanford Won 3-1, then they played again later on that night and Sanford lost 2-0

Friday
-Me putting K-Force THE ANSWER(sorry man I forgot your name in losers in KOF 2K2. Got 4th.
-Playing Cole in A3. Was a good and close match. 2-1 Cole

-Triforce getting 50+ wins in Puzzle Leaugue drawing a small crowd. And Cole wanting to Bet It! lol

- Watching the match between ComboFiend and Bas!
Then after CF won He went to extend a handshake to Bas and Bas totally ignored CF and walked off! :tdown:

Best tournament ever. There could not have been a better last American tournament for me to attend. I will see you guys soon that are coming in Japan. For you guys that aren’t, I’ll see you all at TX Showdown 6. There is a lot to talk about but I’m tired and now just wanted to say THANKS to all the tourney organizers/runners (Ranma, Javi, Lay, Houston crew) and thanks to all the people that hung out, played games, chatted, and drank. It was all good times. GG’s to all I played against.
This was my 3rd Major SRK tournament that I’ve been to. It is definenlty up there with what I thought was the best which is Evo 2k3. It felt almost the same but had its own unique flavor though. I would have to say that I’ve seen more girls at this tournament than Magfest or Evo, or any videogame event that I’ve ever been too. It was great and I hope that the other tournaments later this year either match that or are better. It was a very nice tournament Javi and Chris. Thanks! Hey Vanessa whats up girl!!! :party:
