Texas may have been a bit slow on the jump, but umm the results werent even close to showing that. I mean, we got 3rd and 4th behind 2 japs.

Man this was the best tourny I have ever been too. Im losing my voice too from all the fucking screaming and cheering. I am so fucking glad i made it to this. So many upsets and damn good fights.
Halo peeps kept looking at the fighter side all weird. DID ANYBODY ELSE NOTICE THAT EVERYBODY PLAYING HALO WAS WHITE? Halo people are stupid i over head some saying shit about SF. Then they were playing ST sunday morning all man this is easy. I walked up and just owned them bad with Osagat. I got like 20+ wins before they went away. They were annoying too. SSBM actually had some insane shit. I watched a couple matches and well I didnt know it could be played at the level of fighting. Also this is the first time I had ever seen so many girls at a tournament. There were so many. Most of them were there for SSBM and halo, but still its a gaming event and girls are usually no where to be found.
My highlights for me that is:
Burrito Eating Contest: My homie Big Beef taking first. Afterwards he was all damn dawg those burritos were huge. It was as big as my arm. (this is a big man so that says alot). Big Nasty Chris from Corpus tearing that damn burrito to fucking shreds. Shit was funny.
MVC2:- Jummpeee taking out Wigfall at the start of the qualifying brackets. And taking out combofiend and X in the finals. WITH ROGUE/CABLE/COMMANDO
- Joe Reyna taking out Isaac Graham. Man that fight was close. Joe would of won it super but isaac come back with Psylocke and caught an assist in crouching FP for the win. Shit was crazy.
- X vs Wong, X had that win man he went 2-1. The first fight he lost because it looked like he accidently threw a tornado with storm and wong took advantage. He had that fight too.
- Wong vs Sanford, After winning wong telling sanford why you playing my i am the champ or some shit like that.
*crowd was insane, its the little boost mvc2 needed, good job to texas houldin down 3 and 4th. Shows tx can play with the big boys.
3S:- The SBO qualifyiers were insane. When FlashG took out Frankie, wong jumps up and down talking shit, and telling WC fuck you, so much hate, I didnt know wong was so gangsta. Pryolee stepped and dominated, saying too easy, too easy after he won.
- Alex Yoon vs Fubarduck, Both were 1-1 and the final fight ended in a double KO, Crowd went insane even i was screaming. They had to replay and Fubarduck makes a comeback on the final round with a clutch parry to super. Shit was INSANE.
- Tsien vs Wong, beat wong with Akuma first fight but lost 2-1. Crowd was behind Tsien on this one and the whole way, when they saw that Tsien had picked Akuma the crowd was all oooooooooo.
- All the players looked like they were having FUN or at least the texas players did. But damn really good shit in 3S. So entertaining.
CVS2:- Buktooth vs Otaku, random screen blackout, pauses the game and continues anyway. Good fucking fight.
- Combofiend owning everybody up with eagle.
- Dont remember all of them but there was quite a few down to the wire fights. Damn good shit. Too many to name.
- Started off hot, kinda simmered down and the picked up again, man crowd reaction including myself was like a fucking wave.
GGXX#R:- Marn vs BAS Losers finals, damn that shit was close. Marn lost 2-1 and was so close on the last fight to making it to the grand finals. VERY INTERTAINING eddie vs eddie fight.
- Alex Perales owning Ruin, shit was crazy ive never seen a slayer play like that. AND HE USES PAD. Only pad player in the finals of anything i think.
- Vigorous vs Ruin, vig was fucking hilarious during the cutscenes to the players making funny as hell gestures and brushing off his shoulder when he won the second fight. He lost 2-1 but funny as hell to watch. Good shit representing Millia.
- texas representing hard in this one. Out of the top 16 i think 8-10 were texas players, also combofiend has a godly axl. Weird to see a pad player also
BUY THE DVD for sure. I will definatly buy this one. SO MUCH GOOD SHIT. Including mvc2. Everygame was off the fucking hook. For all of you that missed it, shame on you.

I may have beat Ruin, but i think it was far from ownage. I remember watching his match Vids side by side of my tv while playing reload, and hes every bit as good as i imigined him to be. It was an honor finnialy being able to play him in person. Im really glad i took him out though. I dont know if Martin could have beat him, had Ruin advanced instead of I. =O Good shit man.

I want to first thank everyone I talked to at the Showdown everyone there was cool and it was a lot of fun. I was the guy with the blue stick with the Solid Snake artwork.
I know I got GGPO in every pool I was in but I had fun and I got a lot of feedback on my game and a ton o tips on how to improve it. So I will be hitting the Gate a lot more to learn and get better so I will see ya all there.
