I think MLG is providing us with TV and PS2 setups, the only problem we are having is with #R on PS2. So if you have one that is capable of playing #R that’s the only help he’ll need.

Without going into any math equations etc, I need modded PS2’s for Showdown. I know I had a list of peeps donating TV’s and such, we may need TV’s, more than likely not though, MLG is giving us 18 to use. We will however need PS2’s and more importantly, modded PS2’s

For those coming from out of town, but unable to make it in time to register, this would be a great way to make sure you are in the tournament bracket. This is also great for those who don’t want to wait in lines.

More than likely, this event will be held at UH and not Stargate this year due to the size the event has been growing. I know a lot of people have bad views and such towards the UH Games Room, but I’m positive I can get a much bigger venue, more cabinets, and working controls for Showdown.

March 11-13, 2005

2 Day event, given that its still during the school year, the catch…
this year we’re going to try out a pool system kinda like Evo.

Obviously, we’re never going to get as huge as Evo, thank god, so our pool set would probably around 8 pools of at least 3 or even lower it to 4 pools with at least 6 people, depending on the amount of people entered for the tournaments. This would affect only the big draws, MvC2, CvS2, 3rd Strike, and GGXX #r. The pools would be round robin, top 2 qualify for the 16 man bracket that would start after the pools. The difference between ours and Evo is that the 2 qualifiers would start all over, no losses carry over.

If anybody has anything else they’d like to see, suggestions, etc, post up on here or PM me.

More than likely not, Saturday is already going to be the largest most crowded day of the tournament, I’m not going to have enough people to help run things. If its possible, I’ll try to see what I can do.
