The pillowcase that came with Catherine is hilarious. The screenprinting job was horrible, and it makes the shadows under Catherine’s nose and cleavage a reddish tint, so it looks like she got busted in the face. I laughed my ass off when I saw it.
(For those wondering, and especially before people start bitching about how I bought a game when I was stressing about my rent money, I paid for it months ago with Amazon’s very generous trade-in-credit pricing.)

I loved working third shift, except for the fact that the woman I was with at the time would get mad at me for sleeping all day and would wake me up when she got home from work. Stupid twat.
I came to the conclusion a long time ago that you have spending problems. You get like… quite literally every game when it comes out and you’re always playing something different on steam every time I see you online.

I worked 3rd shift for awhile as a Bike Assembler (that was the job title) at Wal-Mart. I really liked it, I got a workbench in the back of the back room, everybody left me alone, it was just me and an ipod. My supervisor came in at 6:30am each morning to tally how many I put together, and he was a cool ass 60+ year old dude named Gerald that was only working the job because he hated laying around his house he said. We got lunch for an hour at 2am, everyone that worked on 3rd shift was either my age, or in their late 50’s-early 60’s so we all just shot the shit and smoked ciggs and talked about how work sucks in general. 10pm-7am shift Wednesday-Sunday. I got used to it pretty quick. The only problem was, me being engaged at that moment and not yet married, it was putting a slight strain on my relationship. I would get home from work at 7am, she would wake up at 7:30, leave for work at 8am, get home from work at 8pm, and I would be suited up and ready to leave at 9:30pm. My days off were Monday and Tuesday, hers were Saturday and Sunday. I love the job I have now, but sometimes, I kinda wish (even though its devil land Wal-Mart) I could go back to that job. The pay was great, people stfu and let you work and jam to tunes, nobody was on your back unless your production was under, but unless you put together less than 4 bikes an hour, you were golden. I was putting 5-6 together an hour, and was always getting high fives and shit for my performance.
Saying all that to say, 3rd shift sucking/rocking is all relative to who you work for and who you work with. You usually get used to the sleep thing, but you have to give it longer than 2-3 weeks to get the routine down.
I can totally see how you’d get that impression, but it’s slightly off. While I do tend to go hog-wild during Steam sales, I actually get most (if not all) of my games through Gamefly or by using trade-in-credit (as I’ve said before, Amazon’s program is amazing). If you see me playing something on Steam, I assure you I didn’t pay full-price. I pay on average $2-3 for every PC game I buy, and $0 for console games because I’m very savvy about acquiring and trading. I probably only buy 3-4 full-priced titles a year (not counting XBLA games) with actual cash money.
edit: Speaking of cheap games, there’s a new Humble Indie Bundle, and it’s got VVVVVV!
Seriously, it’s one of the best games I’ve ever played. The soundtrack kicks ass, too!
Best part is it’s for charity, so you can pay whatever you want! I gave a dollar, but you can give a penny if you want. Notch (Minecraft guy) gave $2k. o_O , The games work with Steam or you can have DRM-free versions if you prefer.
Seriously, this is one of those deals where you’re retarded if you pass it up. Everyone has a penny.
