Actually Thomas and I play ST also…sometimes I can talk Josh into it but that is very rare.
…alot of people also play Smash here but i am not sure that counts for anything… and there are alot of MK players but there are only 3 of us that actually play and the other tend to mash specials the whole match. The last MK gathering there where 25 of us.
Re: Sonic Generations - game is sick. I’ll be copping. Really captures the feel of the old school Sonic games in every aspect - gameplay, music, level design.
One thing I am curious about though is how they’ll keep the Classic Sonic gameplay fresh throughout the game. As much as I enjoyed playing as Classic Sonic, I found myself really missing Modern Sonic’s abilities, namely the Homing Attack. My thought was incorporating something like the special shields from Sonic 3 that had the different effects, like the fireball, electricity that allowed for double jumping and attracted rings to Sonic, Bubble for that bounce jump thing and underwater breathing, etc. I’m curious to see what they do.
Yeah, what’s up with that? Somebody must have gotten the wrong memo regarding the places where chicken is eaten and Tekken is played.
Having said that, who’s down to drive to Tupelo to see this flick? I know myself and FlyMike are interested, any more hands so far?
GG’s to the Minions, myself in particular was a hundred years too early. Good shit to Josh, who I know as a Makoto player for the near OCV. I’m just glad I got an actual iSW out, that moment when I landed it and the apartment went WHOOOAAAA!! was a definite highlight of my life, though I’m sure for Majin it was Tuesday.
Speaking of Tekken/Marvel, there will be a Powerplay Tourney for both games on the 9th, I will be speaking to PP to hash out details for Tekken in particular. Also, be aware that if you bring a setup they will waive the entry fee. I need a headcount of Tekken players that can bring a setup please. Thank you. Well in all fairness, if my memory serves me correctly there’s a guy who either manages or used to manage the theater where it’s playing, and he is a huge Tekken fan. I have no doubt he had a hand in it. He and I used to beat the hell out of each other at TTT when I lived in Tupelo. Tupelo has always been a Tekken town. 3S or MvC2 just never took hold there.
Just wondering what the criteria was to make a 1-night release. The theater owners can’t all be tekken players. I’ll try to make it down there to Tupelo of course.
