If you must know, NO, I’m not learning the game because you beat me a few times at my house… I want to learn the game to actually be able to put up a decent fight against some of the people in town and at tournaments (not that you would know about ANY of those things in ANY game), plus, the game is fun to play in general when hanging out with people… I’ve never actually sat and tried to learn Marvel, and I’ve just decided to do it…

Harsh? Yes. Do I care at this point? No. Just my opinion.

That would be nice but without any real promotion it’s not going to happen… Posting it on SRK is nowhere near enough, you need to promote locally and more so than anywhere else and make sure that people know that it’s “Game Galaxy” that is running it cause at this last MWC people just assumed it was a bunch of random guys that put it all together… And I dont blame them cause it didnt say GG anywhere cause the only thing posted was the SBO poster outside of the venue.

Maybe you could get a hold of the small Nashville papers (Not the tennessean although that would be nice) and just check to see if they would be interested in running a story about GG and how you are trying to keep the arcade scene alive in Nashville against all odds (Recession, arcade scene dying, etc.), they eat those stories up.

Just a thought but like I said you’re gonna have to be much more active in promoting this if you really want to get 100 people or more (Hopefully much more) to attend the next MWC.

I know, that is why I said it’s going to be a lot different than last year…we had it posted in the arcade but there’s a few things you are forgetting:

1. The Tennessean has already posted a Game Galaxy story about us keeping the arcade scene alive. It was put up about 2 years ago…they won’t be doing another. They even did a follow up article about us getting kicked out of Rivergate Mall.

2. The promotion for the people we want will have to come from far and someone else will be helping with MWC in that aspect this year…the amount of people was not an issue, the arcade made money and people had a good time; my concern is mainly the internet more than anything and people not stealing my dates; it’s the number 1 issue with numbers at this tourney (ECTS tourney). With that tourney in place we lost Team Spooky and a TON of people. I would say our numbers would have been over 200 if they did not take our date at the last minute.
