I think chit is upset because quite frankly gdbell came on the scene and talked all this mess like he “could” play the game, but he must have been beating people at the Dairy Queen or Chuck E. Cheese because from what I was told he lost 40-0 yesterday.
The other problem is he thought he had the knowledge and experience to tell who could beat who, and money match all these people including people he’s never seen play, I mean, it’s like I go into a schoolyard, see some guy dunk and think the guy is going to beat some dude sitting down on the side that no one has seen play…
MAJOR props for him going (though I think he came out before) and playing the fellas, but he needs to completely change his game…sometimes you have people that play for the first couple of months and at tournaments, then just give up when they know they won’t be getting any better. (Anyone remember “Wild” James’ Blanka beating Patrick’s Rufus in a tournament once?) How long ago THAT must seem to everyone.
Really? I always thought Ryu had the best option selects vs a bison…does hurricane kick OS punish teleport? I know it punishes back dash…the well-known one is the shoryu OS vs. any Bison EX wakeup (I think both EX footstomp and EX pshyco crusher get punished).
The cammy ones that I know of involve spiral arrow OS.

Please, please don’t take this the wrong way (last thing i wanna do is sound uppety) but I think where you are right now you may just wanna keep focusing on your fundamentals and such. That’s always gonna be more important that OSes. Now don’t get me wrong, OSes will do nothing but help you, but it’s better to add them once you have a good foundation. I don’t know for sure about anyone else in the crew, but I am just starting to scratch the surface of them myself.
That’s the ones I want to learn, and I’ve heard she has one for her TKCS too, which just the sound of that sounds fun.
Don’t get distracted by the shinies. You need a good foundation to build on first!

I’m sure some of you thought I was going to be lame and not post anything but if I did did that I wouldn’t be keepin it classy! lol Anyway, I have done lots of thinking, moreso about the matches last night and intentionally waited to see what everyone’s responses would be to see how I would respond. i see slaw happens and bishop have much to say about last night and I will address them soon, however I want to give quick shoutouts to the rest of the crew.
Mattwoo aka random asian Good matches last night man. I think we went even for the night. Nice Bison no doubt and I’m sure you are a welcomed addition to the local Bison army. You adapt really well when playing with him and quickly learned my Sagat after I went up 2-0. That is good trait and a gift a lot of players, including myself don’t have. Keep training and you will be beastly with him.
Zojo: Good Matches man. I thought I was going to encounter that lame nightmare terror but you surprised me and picked that Japanese Schoolgirl Ninja! You had my Sagat down pretty good and I only became competitive once I picked Akuma. GGs and hope to be playing you more.
Hiryu: We finally got to play and I must say you have a much better Rufus than I thought. I guess you were the one who started the massacare that was to come so kudos on that. I had no answer for that U2 with Akuma so def good games to you. I WILL be playing you next time I come.

Sev: Good games as usual man. I seriously doubt you have any problems getting far in your pool at Evo. Just an overall patient and solid Abel. I also will take you up on your offer and next time I’m there get some much needed time in the lab to learn the ins and outs of the match-up. I think I got better as we kept playing and the matches became closer but you def have that clutch factor and pulled it out.

I’m sure everybody wants to know; my record last night was 4-40. I had some very close matches throughout the night and I think I should have had at least 10 more games, however it is still very embarrassing to lose so many games. I will go into further detail on how I feel about being put on the spot like this and losing so many games once I address the other two clowns. I would like to do it now, but I have to go over on Lamar and act ghetto with MLGW. They have for some reason decided to cut the power off even though its not behind…I hate that company.
Fuck MLGW, those guys have no idea what the fuck they are doing. I basically pay all my bills early because because morons can’t be bothered to actually do their jobs properly.

Good games last night – I think it was 4-2 me – I lost twice with my crappy Juri. Maybe she’s not the right character for me…
Hey, Mekkanic, would this be a decent monitor to buy? I’m thinking of getting this one.
Also, if anyone has a USB headset for a computer that I can barrow please let me know. I need one for this Rosetta Stone program, and my wireless 360 mic won’t let me do it even with the wireless receiver. Funny thing is that it recognized it and I can talk through it, but it just doesn’t let me hear anything through it.

Bison EX DR, shoryu all shoryu’s except HP whiff and bison either escapes or doesnt
Bison EX Stomp, any shoryu beats all, tatsu whiffs all
Best option is of course to block safe jump in’s, but EX PC can be used in a pinch if Ryu has no super. Then again EX tatsu will beat it everytime, blah blah mind games. EX tatsu immediately after a safe jump is 10x scarier than his OS’s themselves because it’s such a good tech trap against bison (It takes away down charge)
Cammy OS list:
spiral arrow beats all backdashes, teleports and cannot be punished if used as an OS.
Cannon spike beats all EX DR, EX stomp
Cannon spike/spiral do not beat EX PC
The punishes are fairly equal its the inability to see the safe jump coming as easily as ryu. Cammy OS’s off of instant air cannon strikes, which are also tech traps.

Yeah, I understand where you’re coming from too. I’m still working on my foundation, but there’s just times I want to go to the lab and practice more. It feels like with the fundamentals I have to play others online to do so, but with OSs I can go into training mode and just work on those. I get bored easily doing the same combos in training mode, and to me it would be a nice way of switching it up.

Newegg.com - ASUS VW246H Glossy Black 24" 2ms(GTG) HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor: I picked this up a little bit before vanilla SF4 dropped without realizing that it is the fabled EVO monitor everybody talks about. The one you’re looking at is only $30 cheaper than this, maybe less if you shop around. If you’ve got the extra scratch it’ll be well worth it in the long run to invest a little more in a faster display. Aside from being 4ms faster on response time, this and the one you’re looking at are pretty much completely identical as far as specs go.
