Do you like being able to play any number of play styles whenever you feel like it, without being really good at any of them? Do you like working incredibly hard for your wins?! Do you like capitalizing on “gotcha bitch!” moments against your opponent? If so, Juri is the right character for you!! 
Seriously though, Negro Justice got to talking about my Juri last night, and as he said, she’s a slippery bitch. Baiting frame traps and zoning are her best options but she’s got tools to rushdown…she just can’t do it reliably. She can apply pressure but she can’t take it, has a low damage output and takes hits hard. I’ve seen videos and checked tourney results and kept up with how people have done with her in majors and I’m still not so sure how she stacks up against other characters. My mind says she’s not that great but my heart says she’s awesome :’(

Yeah I agree with this. Option select is one of those things to focus on once your fundamentals become something you do by reflex instead of having to think about it that as well as your possible option select opportunities. Honestly, the only reason I bothered to even look at them was all that back dashing Cylus used when he destroyed me a while back. I almost never remember to use them, but it was good to know about option select if I can?t find a way to take out my opponent?s defense simply by mind rape.

I only played four sets against the guy and I just told someone else to play cause it was boring as hell. I was having convos on the side, thinking about what I was going to eat after Hasting?s, all kinds of stuff. On screen, I have Honda and am just walking forward pressing s.HK and he?s not even blocking? Like you know how you try to feel out someone the first time you play them cause you not sure what you dealing with? I?m thinking, ?Ok, poke him a little and just see what he does. WTF? He?s walking into the poke. Ok Swept him. Cross up. Did he even try to block? Sigh. I wonder what my girlfriend is doing.? (And you know it was bad when everyone dedicates a setup to tag team streak a guy for 30 + in a row.)
So he got beat by someone he doesn?t consider in the top 5 of Memphis when the guy was pressing mostly one button. I got nothing else to say to him.
He threw salt on Majin, then called out everyone in Memphis, then called out everyone he thought sucked to MMs, then tried to comment on Knoxville.
It?s over as far as I?m concerned. No MMs. No more back and forth until he place in something, somewhere. Hell go play Brawl @ Powerplay and post the results here. I might at least respond then with a :tdown:.
On another note, hype for Saturday. Who from Memphis is going to make it?
Deviltrigger/Bobby, Plutonium Jones/Scott and Chuck/60 Africans (who lives in Nashville) will be there. Bobby and Chuck are both super new to the scene so please if you notice them give them more detailed advice if they ask questions and stuff. I can?t wait to actually play some of the guys in Nashville seriously and casually.:rock:
Hype for Saturday! BigOpinion. Singles, then Money Matches, then Doubles will be streamed in that order. Only one setup will be streamed, but we’ll make sure the money matches are on the stream.
We’ll try to get some of the best matches on the stream, but the VEWLIX is not being streamed and it has the best vantage point for everyone. The PS3 is closest to me and will not be used for streaming at all…please make sure you bring pad/sticks/whatever with you for whatever systems you may be asked to play on.

Right man but training mode isn’t just for combo practice. You can practice setups, try and recreate situations with characters that give you trouble (best done with a partner but with patience you can do it yourself), etc, etc. That’s what the lab is for mang. Also, it never hurts to practice that execution and get those combos tight.

if you’re talking about using it as a TV those monitors don’t have standard composite/component inputs, just VGA, DVI and HDMI. if you have a digital cable box and hdmi out on your preferred vidya game system you can use them as TVs, but, yeah. not sure what to tell you if you’re looking for a true TV, not sure about response time on those.
I’m just looking for something that I can play my Cammy on 1080P with no lag. No TV, it sucks anyways, even if futurama is back and sucking… so… much… sadness…

Gabe: I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt, but you really do bring the resentment on yourself. Even in defeat it doesn’t seem like you admit *actual *defeat. You come up with excuses of not executing or “close matches”. Excuses don’t really count and neither do close matches. Close matches that you did not win. I don’t know Bishop and Chithappens nearly as well as I would a good friend, but I do know that they have always been nice people. For you to annoy them so much that they actually get mad at you really says something. I even saw a post where Cylus seemed annoyed with you. I have never seen Cylus annoyed…ever.
The fact of the matter is that you do not bring anything to the table when it comes to the community. You don’t contribute in any way. Bishop and Chithappens do. This past Wednesday is an example. Both of those guys really came through with orchestrating the get-together when it looked as if it was not going to happen. They were able to keep the momentum of Wednesday Night fights going. Imagine how sucky it would have been had Matt, Rob, or anyone we really don’t talk to shown up to see that no one was there.
What you do bring is NOT constructive criticism. What DreamTR said is exactly why I get annoyed by you at times. You just talk about things you know nothing about. Why would Chithappens or Bishop, especially, let you stand there talking about the Memphis scene when the majority of the Memphis scene still does not know who you are? You act like you know who is good and who is not when you really have no idea. Why do you do that? Why do you continue to think you’re right when your statements have been either wrong or just your personal opinions that have no bearing on what the Memphis scene is all about?
You can vow all you want, but the next time you come here will show a similar result if not worse. The two guys you did manage to get some wins on will more than likely use their main characters the whole time instead of tinkering around.

I drove 40 miles out of my way for you overall, Gabe. I wanted this to at least be a learning experience for you. It doesn’t seem like you learned anything. Have you ever noticed that you are the common denominator in a lot of the resentment here? Doesn’t that tell you something?
