As always, I’ll be hosting a Fight Night this Wednesday Night at Hastings in Cordova, from 7:00-10:00 PM. We will be playing mostly SSF4, but I believe there will be a Tekken 6 setup available as well. Again, if you can bring a setup, please do so. The more setups, the better for more playtime and casuals.
NO venue fee is required, but if you want to show appreciation, then buy a soda or something. Good sportsmanship is expected, so please keep the noise and cussing to a minimum, we will be in a public area.

Would you consider adding an “ongoing” or “regular/weekly” date option for events posted to battlestream? I was going to add my weekly fight nights, but I just thought I’d suggest it before adding. It would help with regular events, and also make it so that an event wouldn’t have to be posted over and over, every week. If that doesn’t work for you, that’s fine of course. Just a suggestion.

I’ve been thinking about it especially for your case. I need to think on it and figure out the way that best facilitates this process that doesn’t also leave a bunch of long forgotten events recurring into perpetuity.
Yeah, that’s totally understandable. Would it be easier to perhaps have an ongoing option, that requires a weekly reconfirmation by the event poster? If the poster does not re-confirm say by the day before the recurring event, the event gets dropped automatically.
The poster could get a prompt under his “events” tab that asks if he wants to re-confirm his event. Just throwing suggestions out.

My initial thought is to give you the option to “duplicate” an event when creating a new one. Like, you go to add an event and you get a dropdown that says, create this event as a duplicate of: and lists your past events. I’ll talk it over with my designer and we’ll work out a solution for your problem. Yours is one that wouldn’t be uncommon and I want to make sure it’s easy for you while still requiring your participation to keep the site’s database healthy.

For the most part I lost my tournament nerves thanks to Game Galaxy. Doesn’t mean that I’m not shaking like a rabbit after a stressful as shit match.

Yeah. That and switching to rushdown has been relaxing. The only stressful thing is relearning matchups.
Josh has just now started to get over this stuff too Krit and he has only been to 5 tournaments (and all but 1 were small tournaments). His first Nashville tournament he went 0-2 because of nerves and then this weekend he did amazing and said he was not nervous at all. Of course it helped that he had met most all of those guys already. I am not sure what will happen next weekend in Cleveland,OH. He doesn’t know anyone there. From what everyone says it just takes time and experience to get over the nerves. Hang in there, it sounds like you keep getting better and better.
