I was informed that there was somebody in the greater nashville area that will modify a ps3 TE stick on request. I’m looking to have it work with the Xbox 360 as well. I didn’t see any modders advertising in this thread and having to sift through 41 pages in the old thread makes me cringe.
To the guys who have uploaded their avatar pictures to battlestream.net could you please reupload them? I fixed a minor bug where my designer had decided on perfectly square images and the upload auto crop/resize function wasn’t informed.
I went ahead and registered on Battlestream, Shawn. Nice layout, easy to navigate. I’m a bit foggy as to the general functions. Are we to use this mainly as an “event resource”? Or is facebook integration something that is a must-do on the site?
I like it so far, just trying to ascertain an understanding of the thrust of the site.
First of all, I just want to reiterate that the site is still in development and it’ll take a few days for all of the features to find their way into it.
This is phase 1 of the site. The gyst behind this phase is to make players able to easily find other local players and “follow” their activity. Any activity that a player does such as post an event, rsvp for an event, post a photo / video, have a video or photo posted of them, etc will show up in your “battlefeed.” This way you can keep track of what different players are doing.
In phase 1 you can create an account, post an event, and integrate with facebook. Facebook integration is very helpful and really comes with no downsides as you are presented with a checkbox that allows you to configure whether or not battlestream posts to your facebook wall. The only thing that battlestream will actually post is a message telling other people that you RSVP’d for an event. It doesn’t spam you or anything.
The idea is also to give events more publicity. So that people can find events that they couldn’t otherwise find. And as people RSVP for the events their facebook friends will see that and it could drum up interest / awareness of the event.
Upcoming features will be photo albums with event/player tagging, video embeds with event / player / character / game tagging, tournament results, ustream.tv and justin.tv integration, and a REST api allowing developers to tap into battlestream and use it to integrate into their own sites.
Right now the site is a bit sparse. But, if everyone starts posting their own events into the site and connects with facebook it’ll go a long way towards giving it some legs.
(And I quote), " Oh Oh Oh ok guys! I’ll try not to suck any dick on the way home!" (end quote!!!)
Now I must ask… Did this work out for you Hiryu? Or were you unsuccesfull at your attempt to not trying to suck any cock on your way home? HHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAA!!!
Shawn, sent a bug report in through battlestream. I linked an image in the report, if you need a copy of it for some reason lemme know. My confirmation email was all borked up.
In other news, putting some Juri work in this afternoon on the Xbutts.
Sorry Phil, my wireless router just disconnects for some reason randomly. I spent $80 on this a month ago, me thinks I will have to get ANOTHER soon. GGs though
