Max… Jacob… I have never felt that I had to work so hard in a fucking Street Fighter match as I had today. That shit exhausted me. I’m probably going to sleep like 11 hours tonight. Those were the most grueling sets of matches that I have ever played.
If my Mom hadn’t left for Ala. this morning then i would’ve shown up, getting tired of facing scrubs on Live. Dammit i need a challenge (lol now i know how Cody feels about finding challenging fighters) And You going to Evo? Damn good luck,you’ll need it.

I think the most impressive thing Josh did today was beat Shawn and Eugene (he beat Eugene 3x in tournament)…he had some good matches with Max and Jacob Ford who put him out in the second tournament.
Jacob and Max battled back to take tournament II, and Shawn did a great job anchoring Josh in the team tournament…good stuff to everyone that showed today…
Now, the big tournament question…since we had out of towners here today and 6-8 of the regulars were not around, what “dates” are good for the next tournament to give people ample time? EVO is Jul 10 weekend, so our options would be Jul 3 (unless we have a tourney on Jul 10 for people NOT going to EVO) or Jul 17 but our SBO quals are Jul 24…
Either way it’s the following:
Jul 3 (4th of July Weekend)
Jul 10 (EVO Weekend)
Jul 17 (A week before SBO)
My suggestion is July 3 but I’m not sure how many people are going to be in town or feel like coming out this way, or if anyone is throwing any 4th of July parties or anything, but if anyone has any ideas for the date, please post them here…

Sorry I couldn’t make it over to Sev’s. Had to go to a family gathering, then I hung around because my cousin’s wife’s little sister’s husband was supposed to be omfg good at SSF4 and Tekken because he “plays all damn day and stopped playing Tekken because no one could beat him”. I was waiting until he got off work to expose him and because my cousin said he’d put money on him(he hasn’t played me in fgs since Eternal Champions lol) but I guess the guy was tired. Whatever.
Also, some dudes didn’t show because they thought it was gonna be all SSF4, but I can’t seem to convey the fact that if the Tekken players want Tekken, they have to actually…uh…COME, otherwise no one will play it. Which means when I come to stuff, Sev and O have to play Tek with me at least, because I took a solemn vow to never play SSF4 again.
It’s getting annoying, isn’t it? Wouldn’t hurt them to try and show some initiative every once in a while.
For what it’s worth, I played more Tekken tonight than I did Street Fighter. Must’ve played with Sev for at least an hour and a half.

As for Tekken, man I dont know what else I can do. I advertised Tekken on this board and on TZ. I sent out text messages saying the same damn thing. Marcus got back to me for a sec but then seemed uninterested cause there were no pay outs for the ran bat which even were I doing pay outs no one showed and it would not have happened anyway. I mean yeah there was SF played since its got a big scene right now and I like SF obviously but Tekken just sat there after Duckie and i played for like he said an hour and a half. I just dont get it.
I will still have a gteed set up of Tek 6 set at Hastings this Wed and every Wed through Evo since I want practice given I have entered into the Evo tourney for the experience.
Come out this Wed and I will make sure we get to play Tekken. Last week was crazy cause of the single elim ran bat. Also why the vow of never playing Super again?

Really interesting results at Devastation this weekend. We saw a Dudley, an Abel, a Guy, an Ibuki AND Makoto in top 8. I know one tourney does not a standard make, but it was very refreshing to see the diversity in the character spread at this years Devastation.
