Lol I can’t play MK9 on stick. The dash canceling is too crucial. Some stuff is just too fast(at least for me) to execute on stick. Plus blocking is sometimes awkward on stick. And you MUST block.
Also, this game has what I call “dial-up just frames”. Like to get certain specials at the end of strings you gotta input at the precise time, or maybe you just gotta be very quick? I don’t know which one it is yet, doesn’t seem like the latter. Probably something like a link. So when you put those together in a long combo you gotta kinda be spot on.
Benimaru isn’t really a douche. Just a pretty boy. The other two are certified douchery though.
You just gotta treat it like a real boss battle. Always keep alot of distance, you should be backing away nearly the whole fight. He has hyper armor(Green Juice) on moves like 90% of the time. NEVER JUMP unless it’s over his hammer throw, which you can’t duck under. He takes awhile to recover after this move so if you’re using a teleport character then you can teleport and punish him hard. Duck under his spears, if it’s a spear without green juice then certain moves will have priority over the spear, otherwise if you’re in just the right spot you can punish him for it, though this is risky. You can punish whiffed shoulder rams instantly with jumpkick. Obviously punish him for taunting but sometimes he recovers too fast and will get crunk on you for no reason.
I also wouldn’t get in a fireball war with him to try to chip him away because spear is too fast and he mixes up with green juice shit and hammer throw to fuck up your timing. And of course you can’t rush him because green juice is too strong. I feel bad for any character fighting Kahn that doesn’t have a teleport or evasive move because if he closes in on you he goes crazy and you cant hope to be inside enough to punish him for shit because you’ll probably already be dead.
I wanted them to release Kahn for play later on, but now I’m not sure. If they do and don’t seriously tweak him alot then he’s going to be like one of the top 3 nightmare characters in video game history.
Yeah I know the strategy, but its the fact that Expert Kahn threw 4 sledgehammers at me in a row, and when the first one hit, it stunned long enough for him to loop it
