Things I learned about SF tonight: Patrick’s Makoto is NOT unbeatable (!), Rufus pressure can be extremely predictable, I need to work on my execution, fucking hardcore
Lol yeah online is ok, I have the same troubles with walk up fireballs when I play KrazyJ’s Sagat but you learn to live with it. Basically all I try to do is utilize as many of Guile’s normals as I can, frame trap, and box the opponent out with SBs. Sometimes it works out great other times not so much but lately I’ve been having some decent success online at least. We’ll get some offline matches in eventually I’m sure since I still have to get down to GG to play AE.
Also GGs to KrazyJ as always, our matches have become very entertaining!
Who all is going to Final Round? I’m going without a doubt this year since I have a reliable car. I was just reading over the information for Final Round and Tokido is going to be there and I believe this is supposed to be the first “major” to include MVC3. The hype will be unprecedented since Tokido’s name alone would bring people from across the country but the inclusion of Marvel makes this a must see for me (again, I would never play Marvel 3 for money but watching the agony of someone getting combo’d by something they have never seen before - I would pay for that). I’ll only be participating in SSF4 but I hope some of you guys are planning to go since I hardly see anyone now.
Also, for MWC is there going to be some stream group like Iplaywinner, Levelup or Team Spooky to stream the event?
Chit: Right now several of the Memphis people are looking to go if money permits. Lycan, Eraser, Me, Jas, Squab, Abe, 10X. As far as I know are all def planning on it or gteed to go. I am not sure if you will be in Mem or the ville when the time comes but flights form Mem to Atl are very cheap right now.
I may have figured out a way to get to Final Round, even if I don’t have a job yet. I’m trying to see if I can set a table up for mods because it looks like none of the big modders have claimed the event yet. This would completely offset the cost of the hotel room and tournament (and maybe make some extra cash on the side). Question is: can I mod and compete in MvC3 at the same time? Hmm.
I don’t have any kind of attachment to Tron Bonne but that shit is just ill.

Also, I didn’t notice the first time i saw that Thor video that the taunt fills up his hyper meter very quickly. Wonder how viable that would be? I’m thinking something like doing a THC/DHC with Chris/Trish, then since those hypers take forever, crank the taunt out. Just theory fighter now, but I’m sure someone will find a setup for that thing, lol.
I spoke to the manger a wal-mart electronics again to see if he would wait a few days before holding the Marvel vs Capcom 3 tourney, but he said no.
