The Chattanooga tournament has been moved to March 5th so that it doesn’t conflict with the Memphis or Atlanta tournaments.

?Inevitable Defeat rule is in effect. This is defined as when a player has legally won the round or match (i.e. landed a move that will kill the opponent) but pauses the game before the game awards the round won icon, will still be awarded the win. The most common occurrence of this rule is when Player 1 lands a super on Player 2, but the super animation is a grab and the damage isn?t awarded till the final hit connects, but the opponent has legally lost the round. If there is a dispute over whether the move would have knocked out the other player, a tournament official will unpause the match, see the result of the action, and proceed from there. If the attack does not kill the opponent, then the mid game pause rules are in effect.

I never said that wolfkrone should have not taken the round! LOL… Their are some previous post saying that there should be a set rule of some kind… At EVO in July, this happened in a match in my pool. Some guy complained because his opponent paused the match during the Ultra animation. He was clearly going to win, but the bad habit of him hitting the start button happened!
Turns out, he was awarded the round anyway because of this rule!
I kinda agree that it’s either yes or no, but I guess some people like the grey area of things! I mean, if you were going to lose the round because of said ultra, it’s inevitable!

Ok jw I never tested it. It’s still a DQ regardless, the rule should state you cannot press pause for anything other than a button check, match restart, character change, quit game, or some type of judging situation. That’s it, if you press start in any other instance it will just be a DQ. I don’t understand why this is a hard concept. If you start throwing words into the rules like “disrupts the flow of the match” then you just get a bunch of lawyer idiots arguing about what the word “flow” really means. Like screw that, press pause lose the round. That’s why TE’s have the locking feature jeez.

come now, this discussion is silly. Casuals, you shrug it off and drink another beer and play shit. Tournament wise, you eat the loss if you pause. If you don’t have your stick locked, its nobodies issue but yours. You accept defeat for your mistake.
Good thing we don’t have to worry about that on an arcade machine for obvious reasons eh? oh, and new rule, if the machine freezes during your match, you have to get up and ask uncle jason to reset it for you, and if he smiles on you and resets it, match starts over when machine loads up. Unfortunately this never happens.
Which leads to the next point, when he shakes his head and looks at you in disgust, we all lose, money goes to the house, and jason slaps a down payment on a Ford Pinto the next day.

COMPLETELY UNRELATED: Who all is up for getting MidTN Fight Nights started this week at Eddie’s? It’d be Friday around 7:00PM at his crib out in Hendersonville. Bit of a drive for some but it’s worth it for SF, an awesome host, and really close to some awesome bars/restaurants. That and I really wanna get these things going so we can start leveling up before FR.
So who’s in? Eddie how many can you hold? Also, how are you on setups? I can bring one without question.
