Im making a new avatar and its going to be in somewhat bad taste. But also, hilarious. Ill try and have it done tonight lol.
An avatar without homo is like pancakes without syrup. Make it so.
That is all.
Last 2 cents on the SSF4 PS3/360 deal, if you’re a top player, or someone that thinks he’s good enough or is good enough to at least get paid, but it’s run on PS3 and you hate it on PS3, what’s going to matter to you more - the 2 frames of input lag and the .1 FPS or the prize money, experience and recognition?
Ppl just need to stfu about it and play it on whatever system is played on.
Well, people really should switch to XBOX. But, the thing is. Everyone is use to PS3 and they own PS3 equipment and poor people LOVE their PS3 (i don’t understand how you don’t own both OR just an xbox exclusive) and PS3 is probably the preferred system for Tekken and blah blah blah.
So, in the end. That’s why I own 3 fight sticks. 2 for regular use, 1 for major tournament play.
Lord Jas: Input lag is a big deal, though.
Why would you play on something inferior? People make such a huge deal about TVs and lag (and tell me Tekken players would not pick the game with less input lag if there was one) and to be 100% precise the REASON why everyone says PSN Network is so bad is because you are playing with lag on top of lag when you play online.
Basically if you go into training mode and press a button and press a direction it comes out a split second later on a CRT TV for PS3. That’s inexcusable. Regardless of whether people should “deal with it” or not there’s absolutely no way we should use a version WITH lag as opposed to something WITHOUT lag especially with PS3 pad converters to 360 these days and people who are so sensitive to “lag” on televisions.
Bottom line is there is a system the game should be played on with zero latency, and that’s 360. EVO uses PS3 because they’ve already got the systems and I’m sure got some sort of incentive to use them but SSF4 is inferior with the PS3 version.
I mean, I don’t understand how hard it is for tournaments to get this right (some majors do get it right, but FR and EVO are using the wrong system for it) but this is nothing new. Super Turbo at EVO has went through 5-6 different changes because people just don’t leave it alone with the arcade or even the XBOX 360 Classic version.
We had:
Arcade ST
Dreamcast ST
PlayStation ST
PlayStation 2 ST Capcom Classic Collection (with major lag that people were so naive they didn’t believe it until a well known player talked about the lag AFTER EVO, almost a year after the game was released)
PlayStation 2 Anniversary Edition
Dreamcast ST (AGAIN)
HDR for PS3 (which is not as good as the 360 one)
I’m not sure how people are supposed to get used to crap like that when it changes year after year at EVO, LOL…but just because a major has a system for a tourney doesn’t make it the best system for it to be played on and with SSF4 that would be XBOX 360.
and just to clarify, Tekken was DEVELOPED on PS3, therefore it should be used on PS3 and is THE system for it. SSF4 is just boo boo on PS3 but people are SO attached to that pad and the PS3 they overlook the system is just not good for SSF4.
Hmm… everything at FR is on PS3… I don’t have a PS3 stick and don’t know that I want to mod my “limited edition Blazblue stick.” (and by limited, I mean they still have fucking plenty cause no one wants this weeaboo shit)
Also, word on the street is that there will be a MvC3 tourney at GG soon after release??
Yep, or let me dual mod their sticks so it’s never an issue. Speaking of which, your stick is about to go on the table.
So what you’re saying is poor people love Tekken?
… makes sense to me. >.>
I’ll tell you why: cost. Wiz understandably doesn’t want to go buy a bunch of 360s with copies of all the games because he’s already got them on PS3. The only reason Melty got ran last year was because they already had a bunch of Japanese PS2s.
I figure it’s either play on PS3 or have double (maybe triple) the entry fees to cover costs of switching systems.
Yes, you want your stick modded. I’ll probably be in Nashville on Feb 12th.
We’ll have an MVC3 tourney probably the weekend BEFORE the release of the game assuming warehouses already have it…but won’t know until that week…
How much are just the parts when modding a TE?
Price: Your firstborn and a half a Cornbeef sandwich
Ok regarding the Flash vs. Wolfkrone thing…are these guys fucking retarded?? How did they not realize right away that the ultra DIDN’T KILL WOLF??
I would have done the same thing. No one gets special treatment. It doesn’t help things that Flash got up and started dancing and shit like a moron…so technically the match WAS interrupted.
I know people have touched on this already, but i didn’t get a chance to watch before i had to go into work.
No one man should have all that power.
Heading up to GG with my fighting game virgin friend. Wanting to check out dem evil DBZ bitches
So i was opening up my te-s stick to work on a button and the glue on the top panel was being stubborn and wouldnt come off and while prying it off it suddenly loosed and my finger rammed right into the metal plate under the plexi and slice my left middle finger open…I am still bleeding from this and still havent fixed the button and got blood all over my fightstick…what a great night.
I had time to look at the incident again and again. I agree. Wolfkrone was right to take the match and Justin…I don’t want to say he’s wrong, but…it’s hard to defend that. PTI had an argument just like this today, even, over the Pekka Rinne stick save from last night’s Preds vs. Oilers game and whether or not Rinne should get credit. Krone shouldn’t let the “Hamburglar of SF4” stuff get to him, and I doubt it will. It’ll make the next FlashM/Wolfkrone matchup (probably at EVO or Season’s Beatings) more compelling to watch.
Where the fuck did this “only poor people love PS3” shit start? What universe did I stumble into where the PS3 wasn’t the most expensive console for the first 3-4 years of its life cycle?
Ooh, I picked a good weekend, then.
It’s typically about $30-45, depending on the system and how cheaply you’re able to find what you need. PS3 is harder to mod but cheaper, and 360 is easier to mod but more expensive. You guys don’t notice because I tend to charge just a flat rate, plus I buy in quantities of 5-10 so I tend to save on parts (which in turn I pass on to you guys).
This of course assumes you have wire, wire strippers, solder, desoldering tools, a soldering iron, and a multimeter. That alone is $80. Add another $20 if you need quick-disconnects and a crimping tool. Add another $40 if you need RJ45 ends, a RJ45 crimper, and a neutrik adapter. $40 for a power drill, $10 for a hot glue gun, $20 for a toolbox, $50 for a dremel.
Yep. Done that before.
(Add $10 to the modding kit for some Nu-skin.)
I’m no internet forum analyst but I’m pretty sure he was just trollin.
Lol, I hate lag just as much as the next person but all i am saying is that the difference between the 360 and the ps3 is not THAT big. sure maybe just a bit but not as big as say mvc2 on dreamcast compared to any other version. I agree that if the option is viable then i see no point in playing the inferior version but for tourneys like evo and fr ppl just have to deal with it or just not play at all. This is the reason why i fucking hate multi console releases of fighting games because you always have the same problem with it and it always becomes an issue due tournament time. As for me not owning either console it’s mostly been due to the fact that i have not had any need for either system since i stay over my friend’s house most of the time and he has both consoles so i have access to either system. But now that i hang out with everyone else regularly and we have gatherings then yea owning my own console is a good option which i already plan on buying a full 360 set up within the next 2 weeks anyways. I used to have both systems but due to life circumstances i had to sell them both.
And Jason DAMN YOU for doing a tourney for marvel right after it drops! How dare you!!! lol I want to attend but with everything else going on here i’m not sure if i will be able to or not. If anyone from memphis decides to go to nash for it you better let me know so i can tag along lol
2 Frames is a missed throw/link and any reduced damage due to non-adjustments is something a tournament player takes very seriously. It’s just like a basketball net being a few inches too high or low, or a soccor goal being a few inches offset. It may win or lose a game for some people.
Overall it just comes down to what you’re going to blame your loss on, the less there is to blame the better.
