Not a problem Chris. Also Boom cube suggested for you to come over his place at times when i’m helping with with training which now that i think about it is perfect for me because i can knock 2 birds with 1 stone but also because since you will be playing a more keep away/zone style of play he’s gonna be playing aggressive/rushdown style so it will be good training for the both of you for him to polish his execution and rushdown patterns and for you as well to learn to zone properly and keep him from getting in so it’s a win/win situation for both parties.
As far as the whole transition from mvc2 to mvc3 is concerned i was speaking to Yipes earlier on aim and from his time with playing the game and what he told me and from what i’ve heard from ppl who have played the game and seen myself we both agree that yes it’s a new and kinda different marvel but it is still a vs game at it’s core and previous experience and knowledge of earlier entries in the series WILL indeed carry over to 3 and make it easier to make the transition as opposed to ppl who are getting into the series for the first time. So yea old school VS players dating all the way back to COTA will have an easier time adapting to the game and engine than sf players who never really bothered with the series in the past.
Relax, you only have to beat arcade mode three, maybe four times to unlock Akuma and Taskmaster.
And I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again: TvC players will have an advantage when the game first drops. It won’t last long, but it’ll be an advantage nonetheless.
Oh, and Missile the dog from Ghost Trick > everything. Period.
The name, yes. But the dog in PW1 was a Shiba-Inu, while the dog in Ghost Trick is a Pomeranian (and quick to tell you, too). It’s definitely a nod, but Missile in Ghost Trick is your daddy. He owns your soul.
Dream as far as the Yun vs Gief/THawk match ups do you still think GiefTHawk rapes Yun as Daigo said or is it more complicated than that. I got basically accused of trolling in the Yun character discussion for not siding with the all mighty Daigo’s opinion.
I have played neither PW or ghost trick but I can tell you this Shiba Inu’s > Pomeranians hands down. Actually now that I think about it I havent played any of the ace attorney games. There is not enough time.
GGs to Joker, Grimstar, and Negro Justice…sorry im not on my A game the past three days…random wake-up ultras and stupid crap. I feel like i regressed in the matter of three days.
Dude fuck those lames. You are perfectly entitled to disagree with Daigo. Top players don’t know everything. Plus I guarantee you 90% of those fucks haven’t even played AE yet.
GGs all. Brandon that was good stuff. You are fighting Bison much better man, i think we went even. You see how that match starts to tip once you get the hang of it (note: not complaining man, and I was playing you legit, like always)? I gotta play you real wild and aggressive. Good shit.
However, enjoy it while you can…I’m liking the sound of that match in AE. On paper at least. For all I know it could still be gay.
Jeremy, take a day or two off man - the old Street Fighter Vacation. Play other fighters or another genre all together. Just like any other competitive sport, you need an occasional mental break from fighting games. It’ll help you process all of the info and stimuli that you’ve amassed and you may find yourself playing better once you return, even though you haven’t been playing the game.
GGs, you’ll get better everything just takes time and you may even change characters. For now if you are comfortable with Vega go search the matchup forums for both characters. With the Guile matchup I can see how it’s tough but nothing is unwinnable…just annoying as all hell. <— This is how I feel against Shawn’s Dhalsim :china:
Yeah those matches were so legit I always have a tough time against your Bison no matter what the tiers say. In the right hands such as yours he is just a straight monster. I’ve been trying to play that match very patiently.
In AE I’m not liking what they did to Guile but I can live with it. He won’t do as much damage on some moves but all his tools will still be the same. A big drawback is the meter building but that means I just can’t do those full screen ex booms as much and I gotta get my cross up defense up big time. With Bison the drawback of making your U2 a charge command helps the matchup in AE but just like Guile, Bison will have all of his great tools as well. It should be interesting.
When I think Billy (Grimstar) said his balls were tingling after the first match I died laughing. GGs Chris.
Haha I’ll play you both ways turtle or rush you to that corner if I can! But, there’s still so many matchups I’m still shaky on or just flat out don’t know too. Since I’ve been back I had to get go online immediately, luckily I’ve been playing lots of Vipers. GGs.
Also GGs to Eddie as always I look forward to seeing Viper in SSF4. Once MvC3 hits shelves you can pick Chun and really press buttons!
I also just went and did a little homework on the characters I was playing against and I swear Guile must have one of the best matchup threads. It’s like an Encyclopedia of Guile.
